Details of proposed research instrument and ways in which research instrument is being designed
On the basis of above methodology, it is found that researcher is going to collect primary
data. For primary data, he will conduct questionnaire. Literature will also be conducted to some
extent. Questionnaire is an effective instrument that can help out researcher in collecting accurate
primary data related to staff turnover such as: causing factors, impacts and strategies to decrease
this rate. Example of research instrument of primary data collection is questionnaire.
In regard to design of research instrument or questionnaire, I can say that I have
conducted questionnaire for collecting primary data. It is believed that primary and first-hand
data gives accurate and latest information (Van der Riet, Levett-Jones and Aquino-Russell,
2018). Questionnaire is the way by which we can observe behaviour of participants and can
know their feelings regarding research topic. As main target people or audience of this study for
which researcher is going to conduct this study is: employees and employers. So, it was
important to know feelings of employees as what they think about staff turnover business
problem, how this problem affect their performance and ways in which their companies can
solve these problems. So, it was the main reason of conducting questionnaire and designing this
instrument.
In this context, I can say that conducting questionnaire is not an easy task as we have to
consider number of factors for collect accurate primary data. Some factors that I have considered
while designing questionnaire include: selecting participants randomly for making them feel
valued and promoting diversity (Nunaki and et.al., 2019.). I believe that when participants are
being selected randomly, without any specific selection criteria then it increases engagement
level, and they are more likely to provide accurate and reliable information. It can help out
researcher in completing study with effectiveness. Other main factor that I have considered while
designing questionnaire is: asking relevant questions. I asked questions relevant to research
topic. I will give opportunities to participants to skip questions and deny if they do not want to
answer any specific question. They all will be given equal and fair opportunities regarding
providing answers and sharing their views openly. I have provided at-least 2 options by which

participants can make better choice. I believe that both open-ended and close ended questions,
added while designing questionnaire, can help researcher out in accomplishing the main aim of
knowing impacts of staff turnover on organisation's performance. I believe that knowing interest
or willingness of participants is also important as it can help us out in preparing effective
questionnaire. Questionnaire needs to be sent to those only who possess the desired information
and to those who are likely to be sufficiently interested to respond (Sobri and et.al., 2019).
Overall, I can say that by considering all these factors, we can conduct questionnaire in an
effective manner and can gather primary information. It can make us able in increasing
knowledge about research topic.
Reflection upon audience of this research study
As the aim of conducting this research is to identify impacts of staff turnover on
performance of organization. The main reason of selecting this topic is to help out companies in
increasing staff retention rate by making use of effective strategies. So, on this basis, it can be
said that the main target or audience for implementing potential findings in this research will be:
employees and employers or Sainsbury's. It will help them out in increasing staff retention and
improving image. Employees can also take opportunities and advantages by staying within
business. So, on the basis of this, I can say that this study has wide scope and can help companies
to the great extent (Fulgoni, 2018). This audience can make themselves beneficial to the great
extent if they review this research study and make use of strategies for increasing staff retention
rate. They will be provided detailed information of this research study through blogs and face to
face. Overall, it can be said that this study is conducted for making beneficial to employees and
employers at large scale and making them able in increasing their productivity. Employees can
take promotional and other opportunities by being with business for the long run. Employers can
improve their image, increase customers' satisfaction rate and can increase sales by increasing
staff retention rate. So, on this basis, it can be said that audience of this study are: employees and
employers.
Reflection on kind of summarizing, media and design of report
As this study has wide scope at commercial level, which means, it would help out
employees as well as employees to the great extent. So, in this context, I can say that having an
effective partnership with public organisations can make this study more successful. They have
in depth practical knowledge about reasons of staff turnover rate along with ways by which

associations and public organisations would be helpful in making this study successful
(Rybnicek and Königsgruber, 2019)
In regard to structure of research study, I can say that it plays an important role as
viewers or readers find easier in knowing all about research topic and getting detailed
information of research topic. There are number of things that I have considered while
conducting and preparing this research study such as: following all steps in a systematic manner
because furthers stages in research study relies on previous one. For example: literature review
cannot be conducted without proper aim and objectives. Other main thing that I have considered
is: usage of language. I have made use of English language in order to make reviewers able in
understanding everything, written in research study. There is a proper way of structuring
research study such as: introduction of research topic, development of aim and objectives,
research questions, discussing reasons of selecting topic, LR, RM, discussion and limitations.
