Thecouncil ensures that the local community stay protected from bushfires The Northern Beachescover an area of 257 square km and has hundreds of road and residential streets, so thecommunity members need to be protected from road emergencies. The community members arealso protected from floods and storms by agencies (Haddow, Bullock & Coppola, 2017).
