This dissertation proposal aims to examine the concept of Foreign Direct Investment and internal laws within the context of international organizations situated in India and Africa. It will analyze the impact of FDI and internal laws on international organizations and determine effective ways and strategies to improve FDI within India and Africa.

Research Aim -
To analysis the concept of Foreign direct investment and internal laws along with determining its
impact on international organizations.
Research Objectives-
 To review about the concept of Foreign direct investment
 To determine about the impact of Foreign direct investment and internal laws of Africa
and India on international organizations.
 To support effective ways and strategy to have improved Foreign direct investment within
India and Africa.
Key issues: (identify three main issues that will be discussed in the research project. For example,
these issues can be the legal instruments you want to examine; weaknesses of laws and policies;
lack of rights; impacts of law on people and/or environment)
 Legal issue which will examine National policy of Africa and India on FDI.
 Legal and Financial structure for promoting the FDI.
 Bilateral and Multilateral Investment treaties for FDI.
Key Actors and their role
 The investor company receive many benefit other than capital flow in form of technical
strategic knowledge, know-how and inputs.
 FDI becomes important source of private external finance for developing country. This is
different from other kind of external private capital flow in this, it is motivated largely
from investor, long-term prospect to make profit in production activity on which they
have direct control.
Three regulatory instruments (Treaties, Codes of Conduct, National Laws,….)

 The Bilateral Investment Treaty for African State launched on 12 July 2022.
 The Pan-African Investment Code aim on making balanced investment regime which
protects and promotes investment at time of conserving policy space in host states.
Article 10(3) of this code permit state to grant investors and investment preferential
treatment. Article 10(4) preserve right of state for deny investor benefits of the PAIC.
Article 10(6) of PAIC mentions the national treatment do not apply on this.
 The Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 in India and Protection of Investment Act
22 of 2015 in Africa
