Introduction
The paper will provide the happenings, solutions and the opinion of the event that was held at
Commonwealth Bank of Sydney on 11 April 2018.
Happenings
The event was organized at State of the market: NSW Commercial which revealed an important
role in the commercial market in Sydney. The event held on Commonwealth Bank in Sydney and
it started from 4.45 pm and ends at 6.30 pm Wednesday on 11 April 2018 (VAINIO, Airaksinen,
and NENONEN, 2014). It was a type of seminar where all the presenter represents their thought
on the commercial market in Sydney. The presenters of this event represent the interplay
between the real estate and the commercial real estate as well as the economic outlook of the
NSW and its impact on tenant market. The presenters of this event were Graeme Ross, Managing
Director and Global Head of Real Estate, Institutional Banking & Markets for the
Commonwealth Bank of Australia. All the institutional banking client relationships on the whole
real estate sector of Australia were managed by this director. Graeme was also an Executive
Director of Goldman Sachs and Head of Real Estate Investment Banking for Deutsche Bank AG
in New Zealand (Zhang, Glascock, Prombutr, and Zhou, 2018). Another presenter of the seminar
is Dr. Alex Pham, Associate Director, Research & Consulting, NSW Knight Frank.
Dr. Pham had wide knowledge of office, industrial and retail sectors as well as in alternative
asset classes like hotels, student accommodation and so on. Another presenter was Tim
O'Connor, International Director of Head of Office Leasing Australia, JLL, and member of the
Regional and Global Leasing Boards (Haynes, Nunnington, and Eccles, 2017). As the Head of
Office Services, he was responsible for the direction and management of the tenant and landlord
team of Australia. Another presenter is Scott Mosely, Fund manager of APPF Commercial Lend
Lease of Australia and he has worked as the head of the Australian Capital Transactions team in
many projects in Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore. The last presenter of this event
was Teri Esra, General Manager Property Design, and Delivery of the Commonwealth Bank of
Australia. The registration fees for this events are 96 dollars for the API members, 72 dollar for
the API student Members and 120 dollars for the API non-members (Api.org.au. 2018).
