Executive Summary
The aim of this report is to perform a financial analysis taking two major indices of stock and to
explain what type of companies they represent. Two major stock indices which have been used
in the report are Nifty 50 and Sensex which are the benchmark of National Stock Exchange and
Bombay Stock Exchange respectively: the two main markets of stock exchange in India. In this
report, State Bank of India is have been selected as a public traded company and financial
analysis have been performed by evaluating its return and by comparing it with the market return
of both Nifty 50 and Sensex. Lastly, the best stock indices in order to evaluate the investment
risk is ascertained and suggested to use.
