Activity 2: Notes on Mentoring
The presentation pointed out the important aspects that need to be managed towards
implementing a significant plan for StorPlus. The most important aspect to be highlighted in this
case is the usage of enterprise resource management system to enhance the performance ability
of StorPlus warehouses. Moreover, the leadership that is utilized in the organization need to
become more effective. As it is clear from the case, the warehouses are managed by one
warehouse business manager, picking and packing teams, distribution team and drivers. It is
important that each of these department have at least 1 senior reporting head that will work under
the business manager. There is a significant requirement for mentoring and training. Firstly, the
existing employees need to be trained in regards to how the new systems will work. Secondly,
the mentors will be assisting the employees for the better management and utilization of the
resource management system. There is need for customer engagement hence a relationship
manager is needed for StorPlus. It is important that a significant quality management coaching
framework is implemented in the organization for improving the quality of functions. Customer
service need to be improved subsequently. Moreover, there is a certain additional requirement
for better knowledge distribution through better mentoring. New equipment need to be installed
to improve the storage process. There should be greater emphasis on teamwork through the
mentoring process.

Introduction
The brief report will focus on the monitoring and communication processes that need to
be implemented for the business plan for improvement of the functions of StorPlus Company.
