Introduction
Strategic management is the process of setting of the goals, objectives and procedures in
order to make the company more competitive. Strategic management allows to look effectively
and deploying staff and the resources in order to achieve these goals and objectives (Tahir, and
Vahid, 2021). Within this report, the organisation selected is Oak tree inn which is a restaurant,
pub and a village shop on the West highland way. This report covers overview of the firm,
internal and external analysis, potential strategic choices options and the evaluation of the two
strategic choices. Further, it includes recommendations of which of the strategy is being chosen
in the organisation which can provide benefits to the restaurant.
Overview of firm
The Oak tree inn consist of accommodation which is the rooms and above the inn and it
is in a series of on site cottages. It is the restaurants and bar, ice cream parlour and coffee shop
and the village shop. It is in Balmaha, it is a beautiful loch side villages in Loch lamond and the
Trossach national park. This is a hotel for those people who are wishing to escape from their
modern day life. The hotel is consisting of 110 employees which consisting of $25.9M revenue.
Hotel is using certain technologies within their organisation like google analytics, tag
management, load balancers and Domain name services (Quintero, Zarzavilla, and Chen Austin,
2021). Further, hotel is preparing full cooked buffet breakfast and it is served at the inn and also
it providing fee on site parking to its customers. It is having certain traditional bedrooms which
are fully decorated according to the customer needs and demands and also these rooms are near
by cosy cottages. Further, a person can be able to relax and enjoy and the natural tranquillity and
stunning scenery and it is the most beautiful and romantic places in Scotland. Overall it is 9.4
rating restaurants which is for two person trip (Oak Tree Inn, 2021). However, during the time of
covid 19 pandemic, many of the restaurants faced certain issues. In relation with the The Oak
tree inn, it has faced certain issue and challenges wile this global pandemic such as many of the
customer did not visit the places and they are ordering online, hotel has to become digital now in
order to complete the organisational aim and visions. Further, they have to come up with all the
safety measures in order to prevent from the any type of disease from covid 19 pandemic. Also,
some of the other pressure issue within company is to grow fast because this is a SME
