INTRODUCTIONStrategic Information System (SIS) is a computer process which is designed in order torespond to corporate business initiative. They are very helpful in supporting or changingenterprise's strategy. They are very useful in giving competitive advantages to manyorganizations. This SIS approach is very essential part of information technology (IT). Theymechanize operations for better efficiency, control and effectiveness. This process is basicallyused to provide management dependable information which helped them in running theirbusiness smoothly and effectively. They are also useful for the analysis of planning newstrategies and objectives for the organization. Present report will focus on Strategic Information System (SIS) of Healthscope, workingin healthcare sector. It will discuss about the company’s critical success factors and primaryobjectives and creating a mission statement as well. It will also develop an organizational chartin order to analyse e the current system and identify specific control weaknesses. This study willalso talk about the primary features with reference to its best solution like that of MRP or MRPIIand EDI as well of the new strategy that will be implemented by them to enhance theirproductivity.MAIN BODY1. Critical success factors and primary objectives and mission statementIt is very important for the healthcare sector to have effective information management interms of strategic planning in order to enhance their performance in the sector. In healthcaresector, Healthscope which is an Australian company that is operating its business since 1985.Healthscope operates various private hospitals medical centres and pathology laboratory,respectively. It is a private healthcare provider in Australia which has approc 45 hospitals thatare operating under it. It is headquartered in St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Australia. It alsoregulates various psychiatric and rehabilitaion clinics in Australia. It was discovered by GordonBallantyne. For Healthscope, their main objective is to provide their customers the best servicesaccording to their requirements. Critical success factors for the company will be that they arehighly focused towards their work which helped them in achieving their target (HEALTHSCOPEANNUAL REPORT 2018, 2018).
