2STRATEGIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS MACQUARIEIntroductionThe aim of this report is to explain the role of Accounting Software Packages used by theAustralian companies nowadays, which can be helpful in enhancing the operational activities andperformance of the organization. There are almost sixty tools or more that are being used inAustralia, Choosing one among them can be difficult for an organization and to determine whichproduct or tool will be beneficial for the organization (Jebreen 2014). The objectives that need tobe considered in this implication is that whether the organization is doing an outgrowingbusiness, or merging new system into the pre-existing Information Technology (IT) system.Another considerable aspect is that whether there is need of new accounting software in order toseek the workload. This system could be complex for new consumers so recommendation fromexpert and experienced IT team or individual is necessary for this implication. Macquarie hasbeen chosen organization for this report which is explained below. Part 1Macquarie’s Organizational StructureThe organizational structure of Macquarie has been divided into five groups in its non-hierarchical organizational structure, which are a central group of managing director, global chiefoperation officers, The Executive Committee, Heads of important operating groups of Macquarieincluding the Head of Risk Management who are contributing in managing the “organization as awhole” (Macquarie 2017). These groups make their contribution on improving the relationshipbetween the client and Macquarie. Organizational structure of Macquarie can be expressed bythe following chart:

There arepossibilities of different operational problems that might occur in an organization which canmoderate the efficiency and increase human errors in an organization. This can be listed as:motivation by group member, type of the task that members have to accomplish, proper selectionof the leader, corrupting effect of the power, intra-group coordination, technology problems, andproper training to the employees. All tasks need to be completed in routine within theorganization but it should be well predictable and simple for the leaders, motivating the otheremployees. This led to the possibility of selection of improper leader, which can lead to humanerrors and diminish the efficiency of the organization performance (Clegg 2015).
