INTRODUCTION
Strategic management is the process of continuous planning, monitoring, analysis and
assessment of all that is necessary for a company to achieve its aims and objectives. It can be a
process of defining the organisational strategy with the help of them the managers of the
company can make a choice of a set of strategies for a company which is unable to achieve its
better performance (Ansoff & et. al.,(2019)). This assignment is related to Pro-Go Pty Ltd which
is a privately owned manufacturer of small, high-quality action cameras. This firm was founded
in 2004 and based in Geelong, Victoria. In this assignment will discussed about the aim and key
themes of the firm that are used by the management to improve the problem of past which a
number of pro-Go cameras have burst into flames.
Aim
The main aim and objective of the firm is to make improvement in its products like
cameras by using new technologies so that it can solve the problem related to it and provide good
quality products to its customers.
Discussion
Privacy legislation
The set of rules and regulations which directly or indirectly protects the personal
information of the individuals. It is managed by the Information Privacy Act 2009, in which it
contains certain set of rules and regulations which governs the privacy of the data by making it
confidential for the general public. Adopting this law by the Pro-Go Pty Ltd is very crucial
because it helps in protecting the personal information of the user from the theft, misuse,
interference, loss, modification, disclosure, etc. In Pro-Go Pty Ltd, the company deals in
developing camera which protects the individual from harmful acts and human actions. These
camera's are gaining a lot of attention and are very helpful in ever industry. They are placed at
workplace, home, streets, shops, restaurants, etc.
At the workplace, these camera protects not only the organisations but also the
employees. Installation these systems internally and externally the workplace to record criminals
who destroy or steal company property. The video images will help the police in the ensuing
investigation (Hitt & Duane Ireland, (2017)). These cameras also record acts of employee theft.

The cameras can act as a crime hindrance. When criminals see a camera or employees know
surveillance is in place, it discourages criminal activity.
Apart from this, it protect employees both directly and indirectly. Setting up video
cameras in company parking lots and outside the building to record criminal activity and permit
company security officers to check that employees reach their vehicles safely. The video system
can record instances of employee abuse or harassment towards other employees, which can be
used as evidence against the antagonist (Hill, Jones & Schilling, (2014)). This also protects
employees indirectly by monitoring each visitor who comes into the building and keeps a video
record of suspicious activity.
A residential security system is becoming more and more important due to the increasing
crime and theft. They are capable to supply with video footage, whether live or recorded, within
the property. In fact, these cameras incontestable video evidences have led to the imprisonment
of many criminals. This is the reason why a lot of people are protecting their homes and
businesses with security cameras.
Therefore, it has been commended that :
The company must focus on more advancement in technologies and more reliable ways
through which it can ensure protection.
As a operation manager of the company, I will focus more on research and development
department so that less problems will be faced by developing better products.
Apart from this, it is crucial that I will focus on more productive employees who has the
ability to produce better and innovative products free from danger.
Technological advances
Technology refers to the scientific knowledge for practical purposes in a special industry.
It refers to the methods, systems and devices that are the outcome of scientific information being
used for practical purposes. The meaningful application of information in design, develop,
production and utilization of goods and services or in the organisation of human activities. Now
these day each organisation use various technologies to development of the business of the
company. Technological advancement is the generation of information or the discovery of
knowledge that advances the understanding of the technologies (Meyer, Neck & Meeks,
(2017)). In Pro-Go Pty Ltd, there is a problem of burst quality of cameras which generate flames
in the devices so the company face this issues because the firm use old technologies in its

products and the production of the devices. At present time, people prefer those products and
devices that are constructed with high quality technologies so that they can properly utilize and
use the products.
To make the technological advancement in its camera products the company can use
various technologies. Some of technological advancement that are held in this industry are as
following:
HD Analog technology- The cameras which are constructed with this technology are combine
powerful high definition resolution with Analog CCTV technology (David & David, (2016)). It
help in recording video for license plate capture of facial recognition with out upgrading the
system or by using IP technology.
PoE( Power Over Ethernet)- By using this technology, an IP camera can get power and
network connection that use a single Ethernet cable. It important technology because it have a
special power switch in them that can use the power sent over the Ethernet cord and the cameras
without it can easily switch and simply get the network connection and no power.
4K/UHD technology- It is new higher resolution imaging technology that can be used by this
company to reduce the problem that had occurred in its devices. With the help of this technology,
the company can provide better services ton its customers.
These all technical advancement are useful for the company and the discussion points of
each are as following:
HD Analog is important for the company because they are constructed with the IP
technology.
PoE technology is important for solving this problem because it is connected with the
Ethernet.
UHD technology is beneficial for the company because it provide a clear image and
recording which and be helpful for the customers as well as organisation for increase the
sales.

In present business scenario, where technology has increasing tremendously and
assurance of privacy is given by the organisations (Bettis, Gambardella & Mitchell, (2014)). The
Pro-Go Pty Ltd by producing spy camera, enables the user to make connection of those spy
systems with their other connecting devices like mobile, ipad, tablet, etc. By connecting other

devices with the spy camera, helps the user to keep an eye on their personal properties from any
part of the world. Homes, streets, businesses, and office buildings are perpetually blaring
broadcasting signals ever which develops a way for the benefit of nearby phones, tablets,
laptops, wearables and other connected equipments.
When those devices connect to a router, then it sends requests for information relating to
the weather forecast, the latest sports scores, a news article and in turn, receive that data, all over
the air (Simon, Fischbach & Schoder, (2014)). As it communicates with the devices, the router is
also gathering information about how its signals are travelling through the air and whether they
are being disrupted by obstacles or interference. With that data, the router can make small
adjustments to communicate more reliably with the devices it’s connected to.
For instance, the recent cases has shown, that one of the family was travelling to another
country for a vacation and their home was enabled with cctv camera. The operations of those
camera was connected with their mobile phones and they can all the time were touch with their
homes. So, therefore the thief entered at their home and they could know it. While sitting in
another country, they informed the police which reached on time and the criminals were arrested.
Therefore, these camera are very important in current surroundings. It has been recommended

As a operation manager, the focus will be more on enhancing the quality and superiority
of the camera.
As an operational manager to ignore loses, I will be in contact with the customer and will
be accountable in the government and private security companies to discover the major
issues which appeared in their used cameras to solve these issues in the new generation of
spy camera.
Apart from this, the emphasis will be more on developing such devices that can operate
on batteries and loss of electricity will not affect the privacy.

It refers to those products and markets which have a goal expanding in to a market which
is to leverage a business's existing capabilities and used them to a distinctly new market.
Adjacent market is a place where organisations sell its products by making innovation in existing
products (Trigeorgis & Reuer, (2017)). In Pro-Go Pty Ltd, the firm face issues related to its
products such as cameras which are used for surveillance and recording such as drone, CCTV

and spy cameras. To solve this problem, the company can follow the theme of adjacent markets
and products which help in solving issues and increasing the sales of the company.
By adopting new technologies, connected devices and making innovation in existing
products by using new software. In new technologies, the company can use HD Analog
technology, HD resolution, Wide dynamic range, PoE, PTZ technology and others which help
the organisation to enter in adjacent market with adjacent products (Engert, Rauter &
Baumgartner, (2016)). Adjacent innovations keep the area stable like products and services when
the company focus on creating a new and innovative product. These kind of innovation also tend
the scale faster because it innovation make in products to make improve and doing something
different from the existing products so that the firm can provide them in adjacent market. These
types of markets and products can help the company to make improvement in the sales of the
firm and the discussion points of each are as following:

These kind of market provide an area to the company to sell its products so that it can

the manager of the company to chose and design strategies according to the problems so that
they can resolve the issues and help in achieving the sales and target of the firm. In this
assignment discussed about the various theme that can help the operation manager of the
organisation to solve the flames issues which was occurring in the organisation.
