INTRODUCTION-
Communication skill is very important as it help to transfer and share thoughts
and important ideas with others in workplace. Effective communication is essential for
operation manager in company so as to perform basic functions of management, like
organizing, planning for new operations, controlling and leading group of many people
(Cho, 2015). It help manager to perform their responsibilities and jobs efficiently. Being
able to listen actively is very important communication skill, it is easily overlooked as
individual tend to centring more on what they want to say, more than listening to what
other people is saying. Communication skill is important for career growth, it help to
discuss issues, provide appropriate instructions, make person able to work in team and
interact with group members. This skills make people able to deliver messages
appropriately and understand other people thoughts, which means that work is done
more effectively and to benefit of organization as whole. Communication skill is
significant as it allows people to speak concisely, and will help to make good
relationship with peers and others in life. With the help of communication abilities
training, person will be able learn how the best to communicate effectively in the broad
range of conductions and difficult situations. This skill help to spread information and
essential knowledge among people, communication skill play crucial role in professional
and personal life. It helps to facilitate procedure of sharing specific detail and also
supports person to develop strong relationships with peers at workplace.
Communication has the symbolic nature and it is the act of sharing emotions,
ideas, perceptions and attitudes with another team of persons through words might be
spoken or written, signals, gestures and other modes of transmitting pictures. Verbal,
visual and non verbal are the three ways of communication that help people to
transferring important information or express thoughts. In order to work effectively with
team or group of people's in company, it is very essential to improve communication
skills. This study is based on communication skills which need to improve and develop,
it explored various techniques, methods as well as procedures to developed skills and
ability in communication (Chaharsoughi, Ahrari and Alikhah, 2014). This report,
explains the effectiveness of efforts or methods which has been done in order to
enhance one personal skill. It justifies how techniques can improve communication skill

effectively and define its benefits. It clarifies importance of one personal skill in various
field and which need to improve and affect on performance in workplace.
PART A
One skill that need to improve and develop
Communication skill is one of the most essential skill which need to develop and
improve. It is the ability to share or convey feelings and ideas effectively with other, a
person need good verbal and non verbal communication skill which make them able to
work well with the others in workplace. With the help of this skill person can be able to
convey information to another efficiently and effectively (Kurtz, Draper and Silverman,
2017). Operation manager with good verbal, written and non verbal communication skill
will expressing as well as sharing important information with people and transfer well to
others within organization.
At the beginning of this study, I need to improve and develop one personal skill
that is communication skill. This ability is required to speak appropriately with the
number of people whilst demonstrate the varied vocabulary, maintaining good eye
contact, listen effectively, write concisely and clearly, and present ideas befittingly.
Communication skill play role into different areas for example, it help to enhance
performance as well as productivity. This skill contribute many aspects of my life from
professional career, to social gathering, to my personal life. In today's world, people
heavily rely on sharing information and essential data, resulting in greater emphasis
being placed on having effective and good communication skill. Good written and verbal
communication skill is important in order to understand and deliver some information
accurately and quickly. Effective communication skill among person help to work
effectively in workplace and improve productivity and provide clear instructions.
Communication skill supports to improve accountability, which in turn increases
productivity. With the help of improving and developing, communication skill I will be
able to transfer information correctly to right person in workplace, which turn in less
misunderstanding. At the time to communicate and interact with others, I have always
found myself less effective in this activity. I Need and feeling lack of communication
skill, I discovered that my productivity and coordination success is nearly tied to

effective communication. Lack of effective communication in work area leads to:
confusion and misunderstanding. Some workers think that manager said one thing on
the other side some people think they said something completely different. In this
situation, no one can work for same goal and cannot be able to increase productivity. It
is very essential for myself, to have good communication ability, that help to
communicate with people and identified goals which need to achieve for business
growth and success.
Techniques and methods to improve one personal skill
In order to improve and develop communication skill, I have used different types
of methods, like watching video, coordinating peer discussions, learning practice and
workshop, reading documents and books.
Coordinating peers discussions on self managed platforms-
I took initiative to facilitate and convene peer discussion through particular group
on WhatsApp and Facebook, to improve my communication skills. In the process of
discussion on specific topic. While one of my peers start participate, group discussed
topic, shared information and resources and offered insights to each other. I have also
start communicating with them and take participate in this procedure which make me
realise that I can maintain communication with my peers effectively.
Watching video-
It is one of the best and suitable methods that I have used and that has helped to
improve and develop my vocabulary which in turn of good communication skill. With the
help of watching English movies, shows and pay close attention to dialogues from each
characters in movies, I have able to enhance my ability that is communication.
Learning workshop and practice-
Some time, learning event and workshops also help to improve personal skills, I
have attend learning workshop which is quite good and beneficial for myself. Without
improving communication skill I can not be able to work and direct group of people
effectively. Without communication ability I am unable to lead a team and coordinate
with my peers. Learning and training workshops focuses on exercises which help to
develop communication skills for candidates. Training workshops is one of the best
ways organized by organization, in which they can engage its workers in creative and
