INTRODUCTION
Strategic planning refers to the process where the leader of organisation defines about
future vision and also identifies about the organisational goals and objectives as well. It is the
process which includes establishing the sequence where the goals should be realised so that
organisation can reach towards the stated vision. In the present report, Coca Cola company is
taken into consideration(Bonnet-Brilhault and et.al., 2018).Coca cola is an American beverage
corporation which is at multinational level and also best known for the producer of Coca Cola.
The present report will cover discussion about the purpose, background of the company and also
about the competitive strategy options which is focused on the strategic planning. In addition to
this, the report will cover analysis about impact of strategic planning on the organisation and
certain changes which have been occurred at the role of managers of business. Moreover the
report will cover discussion about the significance of the company and learning from the study.
MAIN BODY
Explain about the purpose and background of the study
Coca cola is a total company of beverage with products which is sold more than two
hundred countries and territories as well. The brand portfolio basically include Sprite, Coca Cola,
other sparkling soft drinks and Fan ta. The company's coffee, tea brands, sports, hydration
basically include smart water, Dasani, Topo Chico, vitamin water, Costa and bodyArmor.
Company is constantly transforming the portfolio from reducing the sugar in their drinks to bring
new innovative products to the market (Chiang., 2021).They seek to positively impact lives of
people, planet and communities by packaging recycling, water replenishment, carbon emission
reduction across their value chain. They employ more than seven lakh people which help in
terms of bringing economic opportunity to local communities on the world wide basis.
The drink which is in the sugary form was invented in the year of 1886 by pharmacist
John Stith Pemberton. The company also sells, manufactures and also markets other non-
alcoholic beverage syrups and concentrates and alcoholic beverages as well. The stock of
company is listed on the NYSE which is a part of DJIA and the S & P indexes 500 and 100.
