Executive Summary
The aim of this report is to find out the strengths of the 30-store retail chain of rainbow
Illusion, a readymade young female clothing store in their system of sales and the
transactions. Besides, the situations that the company has avoided by incorporating
such features in their system is also analysed. The report ends with a comparison
between the distributed computer system and the centralised computer system. The
findings reveal that the company has a distributed system and the process are done in a
number of stages and multiple reviewing methods. This report also establishes the fact
that the distributed system is easier to work with as compared to the centralised system.

Introduction
The aim of this report is to discuss the strengths of Rainbow Illusion that is a 30
store retail chain based in New South Wales and Victoria that sells readymade clothes
for young females. The additional discussion will include the situations that the company
had avoided due to the strengths they possess. Moreover, two pressurizing situations
that may lead to the company to face fraudulency will be discussed and the report will
end with a brief discussion over the preference of some companies to install a
distributed computer system over the centralised computer system.
Strengths of the sales controlling system of Rainbow Illusion
The case study presented gives an overview that Rainbow Illusion has a detailed
and categorised management that deals with a specific set of functionalities. The
strengths that are found to be existing in the sales controlling system of Rainbow
Illusion are listed below:
1. Use of distributed computer system – In Rainbow Illusion, the entire process from
the selection of the items, making invoices and finally supplying them to the
customer is divided into a number of stages and are adequately categorised.
Every stage is equipped with proper man-power and their area of action is
restricted to a particular extent so that other processes do not get mixed up with
the other processes (Snapp et al. 2017). Hence, it is evident that the working
