The investigation aimed to understand the value chain management strategies used by ODM and OBM in Taiwan's high-tech industry. The study found that ODM firms consider cost as a major factor when choosing suppliers, while OBM firms consider new product development as a key factor. The study also revealed that ODM firms focus on reducing logistic costs and lowering product prices to increase competitiveness, whereas OBM firms prioritize creating company differentiated value and developing new product categories for long-term business sustainability.
