1. The Pros and Cons of using Cloud provided Email System
1.1 The Pros of the Improved System
With the advent of the cloud provided email system within the UniSA, some of the pros
are:
1. It would provide improved filtering of content.
2. The system would provide higher availability of storage and other secure services.
3. It would also provide easy disaster recovery of data. It would also mitigate the
chances of risks of data loss during a situation of disaster (Alzahrani, Alalwan and Sarrab 2014).
4. Access to internally stored data would be available immediately. It would also support
in multiple devices.
1.2 The Cons of the Improved System
The cloud-based email system would also comprise of some cons. These are:
1. Exposure of sensitive data in relation to the organization might be considered as a
grave concern.
2. The UniSA would lack some form of visibility within the security of data in relation to
the employees, staff and students.
3. There is a certain form of ignorance based on the individual or organization who
would handle the cloud-provided email system (Sultan 2014).
4. Low internet connectivity can lead to disruption of services within the incoming and
outgoing services of mail.
