1STRENGTH ANALYSIS AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Part A: Self Reflective Analysis The results of the Gallup Strengths Finder Psychometric test revealed that my strengths lie in the aspect of my communication and strategic abilities. The test revealed that I am deliberative, consistent and I am endowed with analytical skills. Effective communication is crucial for any organization and it can help an individual in the aspect of customer relations along with employee management (Larsen et al., 2017). I think that my communication skills can help me in handling every facet in relation to the operation of a business. Effective communication can help in building strong relationship and it can be useful for an individual in meeting the individual needs. The strategic abilities will help me in the aspect of divergent thinking that can help me in finding solutions to the problems. Strategic thinking can help an individual in strategic thinking and in the identification of the target customers. Strategic thinking can provide an individual with innovative ideas that can help them in successful running an organization. According to me, strategic thinking will help me in evolving as a better leader that can help the organization in earning profits. The Gallup Strengths Finder Psychometric test revealed that I have the skill of deliberation. I have the deliberative strength that makes me extremely aware of the things that could go wrong. I will be able to assess the risk with the help of this skill that can help me in the making of cautious decisions. I do not make any haste in relation to making decisions that helps me in making capable decisions. It can help me in protecting myself along with saving other people in an organisation (Sheldon et al., 2015). The Gallup Strengths test revealed that I am consistent and it can help me in achieving better results. I can be true to my word with the help of my strength of consistency and it can help other people in having confidence in me. Ethics can help in shaping the ways in relation to moral living and it can help an individual in making logical rationalization. According to me, being consistent can help me in aligning my values with my actions that can work for the betterment of my team in an

My analytical skills will help me in understanding the problems and it can help me in working towards a solution (Biswas‐Diener, Kashdan & Lyubchik, 2016).I think that it will be able to help me in breaking down the problem into the smaller parts which can then be solved easily. According to me, this strength can help me in gathering and evaluating of information. It can help me in separating the correct information from the ones that are incorrect. My analytical strength will help me in managing the information in a more effective manner. The analytical skills can be used by me in evaluating and ranking the alternatives (Widiger, 2016). It can help me in understanding complex reading material at the workplace and putting it into action. Part B: Leadership Development I started off my career in Blundstone Footwear where I was in the position of marketing executive. In the position of marketing executive, I had to create awareness and develop the footwear brand. I had to support the marketing manager in the aspect of delivering the agreed activities which helped me in learning leadership skills. I had to work with the creative agencies for the designing of marketing material like brochures. I had to organise and attend the event like conferences and receptions that helped in the successful running of the company. All these helped in sharpening my skills that can ensure my career progression. My strengths in relation to communication and the strategic abilities helped me in fulfilling the duties of Marketing Executive in an efficient manner (Shamir & Eilam- Shamir, 2018).Then I got the opportunity of working at Darrell Lea in the position of Marketing Analyst that helped me in sharpening my skills related to analytical skills. I was involved in the marketing of the fresh quality treat like Soft Eating Liquorice along with Rockley Road. In the position of Marketing Analyst, I had to forecast the marketing along with the sales trend of the company. This position provided me with opportunities for

I had to make a lot of interactions for preparing the report and presenting the result to the client. I had to analyse data by making use of statistical software and it proved to be extremely beneficial in further improving my analytical skills that is an important attribute of leadership (Clinton, 2018). I was able to successfully measure effectiveness in relation to marketing programs that helped me in developing as a leader. Then I took up the position of Marketing Manager in Baker’s Delight that is famous for selling loaves and the hot buns. My skills in relation to deliberation greatly helped me in fulfilling the role of Marketing Manager with efficiency. It helped the other people who were working under me to trust my views and my opinions. It helped me in leading the marketing team of the company that helped me in evolving as a successful leader. My responsibility as the Marketing Manager of Baker’s Delight helped me in developing long along with short term strategy for the company. I was given the responsibility of brand development so that I could create a brand that can align with the mission statement of the organization (Bolden, 2016). I had to direct internal along with external media relations that further helped in improving my communication and strategic abilities. I had to produce the press releases that helped me in successful evolving as a great leader. I had to perform a great amount of research for ensuring that my firm gets a strong foothold within the industry. I had to analyse advertising abilities along with sales performance of the competitors that helped me in learning leadership skills (Day et al., 2014). Developing of the new product lines requires a great amount of strategic skills and my professional position helped me in improving my leadership abilities.
