1STRESS MANAGEMENT PART 1: Answer number 1: Stress is usually defined as the sense of physical or emotional tension that arise due to different events which make an individual feel angry, nervous and frustrated. I was feeling stressed and anxious due to personal and professional factors and hence it was very important for me to reduce the stress by firstly taking a deep breath and cooling myself down (Ariza et al., 2017). I must identify the most important and urgent wok that require my priority and accordingly proceed with the time-management. I will then move to another desk and take assistance form my fellow colleague who will help me to arrange the meetings, communicate with colleague and finish the filing of report. Taking help from other colleagues will help me to also meet my sister and mother on time. I will also adapt the music therapy and listen to music to reduce my stress while working (Raglio et al., 2019). Answer number 2: The long term strategies that will assist me to meet my workplace requirements are as follows (Tyler, Dymock & Henderson, 2016): Executing a learning management System (LMS) - Learning management program will help me to determine my individual need and accessing the resource that can reduce the gap that I have in my work ethics and hence it will eventually help me to manage my work effectively. Enhancing the thinking capabilities- One day training programs are often conducted in the workplace that guide us and enhance our knowledge but I should focus more on improving my self-ability by adapting different management strategies that will help me to work more efficiently.
2STRESS MANAGEMENT I will focus on improving my communication skills that will help me to interact with my managers and boss more efficiently and I can further post my request and concern to them. I will also aim to improve my relationships with my colleagues that will eventually help me to manage my work in a systematic way and reduce my work load enhanced quality of work. The last long-term strategy that I can adapt is the habit of setting long-term gaols and targets that will keep me motivated and energetic to deliver high standard of work and also reduce any possibility of stress. Answer number 3: I will personally visit the desk of the other section and ask them to immediately send me the files of regular weekly updates. I will sit with the other section team members and assist them, in generating the regular updates so that I can efficiently offer the updates to the clients and the work is completed on time with no delay (Modern, 2017). I should also raise this concern to the manager as such negligence can be harmful for the organization. Above everything,Ishouldmotivatethemembersoftheothersectiontoworkwithmore responsibility and obedience and respect the importance of time because if the client were in hurry, it would have been difficult for me to present and file the report to them. I should also learn not to completely depend on the other section and fulfil my responsibility to remind them to send the required documents on time (Viveros & Schramm, 2018). PART 3: The two stressful situations that I have faced in my workplace are – Since the child carer was late, this caused a problem in the management of time. All of my works got delayed and some got overlapped which became a lot hectic. As I returned to the office in the morning at 8:50 am, I had to hurriedly complete my previous day task. The second stressful situation which I faced was after I completed my previous day task, I had to attend three long meetings which were of one hour duration each. From the moment I came I could not relax as my schedule was delayed. After that I had to reply to three clients regarding certain information. After all that I had to prepare a report on a network meeting which I attended two weeks ago. Also I had to change my shift timing so that in can attend my sister’s graduation ceremony.
5STRESS MANAGEMENT Strategies to solve the stressful situations: For my first stressful situation where I faced time management problem and an improper management of task list, I would like to start my day with a clear focus in my mind. The focus will be put on what I want to achieve for that day, and what I should accomplish. I would create a dynamic task list which will consist of all the tasks and activities are needed to be done. I will make sure to complete each day’s task on the specific day so that no remaining task is left for next day. This will help me in managing my time, and also reduce the pressure of the task. Another thing that I will focus on while I do my tasks will be that I will keep a track of the most important tasks which are needed by my clients or team members. I will give most importance to those tasks and will try to complete them as quick as possible (Chu et al., 2016). The second stressful situation caused me more problem, as I had a load of tasks, such as three one hour long duration meetings which were tremendously hectic. After that I had three client meetings which really caused me a lot of stress. I would next time try to plan any of my meeting events be it family or friends, I will try to keep those meetings on my week off days, or will try to apply for holidays for those days so that I can manage my tasks accordingly. If ever I have a load of tasks assembled, then I would try to seek help from my colleagues to help me in finishing my tasks (Holton, Barry & Chaney, 2016). If ever again a similar kind of situation occurs, then I would make sure to implement all of these strategies. I would try to be ahead of the time, so that it can help in managing my time. If ever again it happens like the child carer is late, then I would make sure that nay of my family member stays with the child, so that I can get ready to leave for office. I will try to keep my tasks limited and try to complete each day chores on the specific day so that they don’t assemble and become any load for me. I will create a strategic plan which I will implement successfully.
6STRESS MANAGEMENT If still I feel that it is becoming impossible for me then I will try to seek help from my seniors or my colleagues. I will take consultations from my seniors and ask them how to get out of this stressful situation. If I feel that I cannot attend any meeting, then I would drop a mail for unable to attend the meeting. It is important to keep a track of the health condition as too much stress is harmful for health.
