Introduction
Resort refers to any lace that provides recreation and entertainment especially to the
ones who wants to be on a vacation. Work has become the all-encompassing reality if one’s
life. The humdrums of life take a heavy toll in their day-to-day reality of life. Thus going to a
resort can help the person to revitalize their body and mind. There are different kinds of
resorts for example beach resorts, golf resorts, island resorts or luxury resorts. The
emplacement of resorts has severe economic, social and environmental impact. Australia
inhabits resort, which are mostly beach resorts and island resort. For instance Resorts like
Lady Elliot is a beach resort located in Australia. Australia inhabit great diversity of natural
resources like Great Barrier Reef, Whitsundays, Fraser Island, and Kiama and so on. These
places serves as an instrument of attraction for the people who has the wonder lust. In this
point, the business of resort can really provide the opportunity to the people across
transnational boundary not only enjoy their stay in a resort but also to display their natural
beauty. In the age of globalization and with the aid of technology and with the development
in the science, people are becoming disembodied from their specific location. This kind of
development has helped people to move across boundaries (Buning, et al., 2016). Migration
of people is not only happening interstate but international migration is in full swing. Now it
is very important to realize that ecology and economy do not play in airtight compartments
they influence each other. In addition, any overexploitation occurring in any of the sphere can
inhibit the development of the economy.
Socio-economic significance
Building resort in the exotic location should be planned and every steps should be
analyzed properly. Building a resort owing to the exotic landscape or seascape does steal
away the fact that it needs proper marketing strategies. It is very important to make people
realize about the kind level of comfort and the type of facilities that are available in resort.

The scenic beauty, recreational activities, the basic arrangements of food and lodging and
other basic amnesties should be marketed properly. However, it is important to gauge the
proper implication a resort can have on the social and the economic section (Becken, et al.,
2016). Often building an exotic resort can have detrimental effect on the natural resources.
Indigenous people whose main survival depends on the primary sector are mostly affected,
resulting in ecological poverty. Thus, it is important to frame the goals of resort building in
such a way that will induce inclusive development. In this way, people from every strata of
social hierarchy will be able to participate in the development process holistically. Marketing
strategies often involves propaganda of stereotypes in order to attract tourist however this
kind initiative can cause marginalization of people who are not in the mainstream. For
instance, since Australia is famous for its beach resorts and advertising about their exotic
water sports like kayaking or scuba diving can serve as instruments of attracting tourist
(Basu, 2017). On the other side, underwater diving or water sport affects the ecosystem of the
particular space. The natural flow of the marine body is hampered and problem is not just
restricted a particular the adjacent places also are squarely affected (König, 2018). In fact, the
Great Barrier Reef is already whitening and it is getting difficult to implement the
precautionary measures. This is because of the tourist pressure. Thus, it is important to take
account of the environmental factors while setting up resort (Kovács, et al., 2016). Along
with the freedom, proper restriction should also be taken into consideration for setting up a
goal.
Socio-ecological factors
Social factors, environmental factors and the mostly importantly the human factors
plays an important role in deploying strategies of building a resort. Human being with aid of
technology can move across transnational boundaries (de Vita et al., 2015). In this way, they
become the carrier of their specific culture. Thus, the consumption pattern or their lifestyle
