I was assigned for supervising the ongoing project of the high-rise building. Construction
and designing of the buildings is highly risky and crucial project that needs to monitored and
evaluated under proper guidance considering the successful delivery of the project. Since, ground
for the increased population has been lacking with the passage of time and thus, it has become a
dominant factor to build high-rise buildings those can be very dangerous, if not constructed
under proper engineering guidance. I used the Staad Pro for the delivery of a sophisticated design
of the high-rise building through defining the techniques for the creation of the geometry, beam
and column cross sections and many other aspects related to the design of the building.

CE 2.2 Project Background
CE 2.2.1 Characteristics of the project

project. I utilized STAAD pro for identifying the crucial design and aspect related to the
construction of this building. I executed the mathematical calculations for determining the load
combinations and determination of the loads. I had considered the dead load, live load, wind
load, and seismic load for the development of a sophisticated high-rise building design. I
prepared the reports related to development of the project and accomplishment of the activities
involved in the project. I used following calculations for the estimation of the load combination
for static analysis:
A). 1.2(DL + IL ± EL)
B) 1.5(DL + IL)
C) 0.9 DL ± 1.5 EL
D) 1.5(DL ± EL)
Following calculations were made for the estimation of dynamic analysis:
A) DL + LL
B) DL + WL

CE 2.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions
2.3.4.1 Issues
The preparation of drawing using hand could be lacking in the precision and thus, proper
diagram cannot be prepared using the collected data. Analyzing the structure considering the
wind load, live load, and dead load combination was identified as one of the issue in the
development of the project that would be affecting the real design of the project in all ways.
2.3.4.2 Solutions
I used the Staad pro for the development of the design and diagrams as presented above
for the beam. It was helpful in describing the exact physical appearance and estimation of the
overall strength of the beam. Based on the universal value of the speed of wind, I had estimated
the following data related to the design considering Wind intensity and height considered is 1.5
kN/m2 at a height 90 m in CTC.
