The remedies that are available with the aggrieved party when he faces a breach of contract. There are
two types of remedies:
1. legal or statutory remedies
2. Equitable remedies.
When there is a breach of contract, the aggrieved party is available with certain remedies under the
law of contract. Remedies can be of two type: legal or statutory remedies and equitable remedies which
help they aggrieved party recover monetary compensation from the breaching party. However, legal or
statutory remedies are mainly granted for recovering damages while the equitable remedy is granted
when the monetary damages are not sufficient to recover the loss sustained by the aggrieved party.

class in Week 7.
NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure you submit the outline to the correct link. If you are unsure,

HOW THE OUTLINE IS MARKED:
Outlines will be marked in class (Week 7 tutorial time), and form part of CP marks. Lecturers will
move between the groups and carry out a brief discussion with each student about their outline. CP
marks (mark out of 3%) will be awarded on an individual bases and will be based on the student’s
understanding of their own outline.
NOTE: Lecturers are not able to give individual feedback outside of class times or by email. Students
who are unable to attend class in Week 7, will have to wait until Week 8 to receive feedback on their
outlines.

You are not locked in to the answers you provide in your outline. To be clear, if you tell me you plan
to come to a conclusion that the sky is blue, you are allowed to change your mind and tell me that
