Nigeria's experience with distance education has been transformative, enabling students to access quality education despite geographical constraints. The National Teachers Institute (NTI) has played a crucial role in upskilling educators and administrators, leading to improved educational outcomes. Distance learning has also contributed to social transformation by empowering less fortunate students to move ahead. However, challenges persist, including economic, political, and technological barriers. To overcome these hurdles, recommendations include increasing government funding, improving technology infrastructure, training staff, promoting computer literacy, and fostering synergy among distance learning institutions.
