Should UK receive more immigrants
People around the world visit to other countries in order to get better earning but there are
different type of issues that are being faced by countries. In this context, one of the issue includes
language. English is not the first language for more than a million people in whole of Britain
schools (Minford, Gupta and Xu, 2015). There are about 567888 children between the age group
of 4 to 11 and at home they can be speaking any language among 100 of foreign languages. This
issue is viewed differently by illegal immigrants, legal immigrants and by citizens of England. It
was in the year 1753 when issue related to immigrants occur in order to learning to speak
English during the time of German immigrants. This can be understood with an example.
Imagine newly couple from Poland or, china, or Pakistan. In order to start up their marriage life

employment prospects, free healthcare and secondary education and impressive average standard
of living. In this context, there are different type of issues that are faced by people. It includes

get proper support form subordinates within the firm. Further, there is economic problem that are

are migrants. The quality of work that is performed by migrants is not effective due to which the
total quality ratio get negatively affected. This way government suffers from unpaid taxes of
immigrants (Crawford, Ahmad and Bierman, 2016). There is also economic problems that are

Raising in crime rate: This is another type of negative impact that is faced by citizens.
Due to the poor working conditions and improper wages, immigrant tent to commit crime.
People are tent to commit criminal activity as the amount that they get is high. When migrant
visit to UK, then they do not have proper earning at the initial months and they are not left with
proper money in order to fulfil their basic needs (Ferrer, Picot and Riddell, 2014). In such
condition, immigrant tent to fall for criminal activities.
Language issues: Common language spoken in UK is English. However, it is not the
common language for majority of other countries. Immigrants fail to convey information due to
lack of proper knowledge and understanding for English. For example, when interaction take
place among a local person and immigrant, then there are situation due to which conflict
situation arises when people interacting do not have common language. Miscommunication and
confusion arise and this way the rate of conflicts also arises (Geddes and Scholten, 2016). The
intention is properly presented to other due to lack of language.
Resistance by employees: When migrants are hired by organization, then there are
condition in which workers does not support. In order to perform any type of work, it requires

within the firm get to know each other and healthy work conditions are maintained. Further,
there are conditions in which to save the money by the firm, they hire migrant who does not have
enough skill or the experience to perform the work (Panchal, Browne and Haldar, 2014). In such
condition management need to spent more so that they deliver proper training to workers so that
they improve their skills and capabilities with the help of which their performance can be

from reverse discrimination. In this context, one of the effective way is to follow the standard

Increases the economic condition: Immigration is helpful enough to fuels the economy.
When more and more labours are included in order to perform a certain set of job, then it enables

to raise the productivity and increases the GDP of economy. This way the surplus of immigration
has doubled by this phenomenon (Benton, Sumption and Papademetriou, 2014.). Further, with in
the organization there are certain set of skills that are required and with the help of migrants the
job vacancies and the skill's gap can be filled. Further, growth of the economy can be sustained.
As per the analysis, it is identified that the rate of people with the age of 50 and above is
increasing. Due to this the rate of working class is declining in UK. For this purpose, it is
important to have migrants so that they will be able to maintain the ageing population. When the
rate of people for increases, then government will be get high tax rates and this way government
can reduce the gap of pension.
Innovation: Different people have direct set of perception and understanding towards the
situation and the work they perform. Organizations get benefited through the work they perform
as migrant contribute effectively towards innovation (Lisenkova and Sanchez-Martinez, 2016).
The type of background and the culture that they were being following supports in encouraging
and to think differently with the help of which changes are made that will support the firm to
grow. When a work is performed by an individual will always be more when compared with the
task when it is performed by a group. When involvement of people is high, then it becomes
favourable to get suggestion to make innovation and to overcome the issues that are being faced.
Further, the rate of unemployment get reduced. However, the only issue faced by local people as
they are not provided with better opportunity. There is differentiation of skills and productive
characteristics between migrants and natives. The contribution make by them will be high when
compared with local labour will be high (Ballarino and Panichella, 2015). There are different
type of areas in relation with the job that are covered by migrant. Further, employees should be
provided with the opportunity to share their views so that they will be able to provide
suggestions with the help of which innovation are possible.
Reduction labour cost: Another type of advantage is that the increase in rate of hiring
immigrant enable to reduce the labour cost. Generally people immigrate of UK with an aim to
get economic opportunity that are available within the country. In order to get a start, these
migrant start their work even at lower rate of returns (Minford, Gupta and Xu, 2015). This way
the rate of cost that is paid to migrant get reduced and organizations are able to make people

to hire migrants as they add high value to marketing standpoint. Further, organizations get
benefited as immigrants when hired enable to diversify workforce. Further, it also provides
broader perspective towards the type of culture that is being followed by other people. Moreover,
it enables to keep the business on the right side of anti discrimination laws.
When both negative and positive aspect are compare, it can be stated that immigrant are
helpful for the economy of UK to grow (Crawford, Ahmad and Bierman, 2016). In this context,
one of the main reason is due to ageing factor that is raising within UK. It is important for the
country to have migrant who will be able to support the country in order to raise their economic
condition or GDP rate. There are negative perception that people have within their mind towards
the migrants and due to which different type of problems are faced by migrants. It is important to
make sure that local people understand the situation that are faced by them. For this respect,
government need to take up proper steps so that they develop more of employment opportunity
with the help of which all the unemployed will get the benefit and they raise their living
standard. Further, migrants should not be discriminated (Zagefka, Nigbur and Tip, 2013). When
employees discriminated that there are many negative impact over the business. The
performance level gets reduced, they lack motivation level, etc. The overall performance get
negatively affected. There are various set of laws that are being determined by government in
order to protect the interest of migrant and other who are being discriminated. The rate of
migrant in UK are increasing drastically and as per the analysis it is identified that this rate is
increase more (Panchal, Browne and Haldar, 2014). The economy of the country has raised but
there is issue of for people to get proper place to stay. There are different type of conditions that
are determined by local people so as to get a rented house. However, the local people make sure
that all the formalities and documentation are proper before they are being provided with the
house. In addition to this, the rate of crime due to this immigrant are increasing and one of the
main reason for this raise is unemployment (Ferrer, Picot and Riddell, 2014). When migrants
visit to UK and when at the initial stage they do not have proper source for income, then to
resolve this problem, people tent to get involve in criminal activities so that they will be able to
improve their standard of living. From the over all conclusion, it can be stated that migrant in
UK should be support as it is helpful enough to raise the economic and for the betterment of the
country.

migrant in UK are increasing drastically and as per the analysis it is identified that this rate is
increase more (Panchal, Browne and Haldar, 2014).
From the over all conclusion, it can be stated that migrant in
UK should be support as it is helpful enough to raise the economic and for the betterment of the
country.
