This study analyzes the proportion of obese people in Australia using BMI data from the National Health Survey 2014-15. The hypothesis is tested using a one-sided test and the conclusion is that more than 25% of Australians are obese. The study provides a detailed explanation of the testing process and decision criteria for rejecting the null hypothesis. The Excel output and interpretation of the results are also included. The study concludes that the government needs to concentrate on this issue.
