Purpose of this research project is to understand and analyse the factors which are linked
with partner violence. This research study shall be focusing on health and social care conditions
which lead to such brutal abuse. Over time, there have been major shifts or trends in the causes
of factors which lead to consequences like domestic violences or partner crimes (Abrahams and
et. al., 2014). This research study aims to provide information about these aspects and will help
in enhancing the knowledge with relevant facts and figures. The behavioural attributes of people
committing such crimes and those getting subjected to the abuse will also be assessed in the
research project. This research will help individuals to gain an understanding regarding the
consequences which force a person to perform violence on their partners.
Aim:
This research aims to inspect the factors which are associated with partner violence
against women.
Objectives:
Following objectives have been defined for successfully achieving the aim of this research study:
 To study the concept of partner violence.
 To analyse factors associated with partner violence against women.
Rationales for project selection
The selection of this research project is contributed by various factors. The researcher has
selected the topic to investigate the amount of violence holds for their partners. Over time, the
awareness regarding domestic violence and crime against partners has been rising. This depicts
that there is a need to bring in more information and facts related with the subject of partner
violence (Babcock, Armenti and Warford, 2017). Hence, the researcher has opted for this topic
of research. Furthermore, the abundance of informative content from different sources and easy
availability has helped in inclining more towards this research study. This qualitative research
study shall help in getting reasons and facts which lead to such divergent behaviours of
individuals who commit partner violence.
