Summary
The purpose of the following report is of studying and presenting
summary of requirements for the network of Calasanz School and based
upon which building the logical design of the school while also providing
the logical diagram showing the layout of wired as well as wireless
networks of the two main school buildings with the Cisco Packet Tracer
network simulation application. The requirements summary is presented
after mentioning the project scope and challenges. Thereafter, the logical
network design gets explained along with the logical network diagram.
The benefits that Calasanz School receive from the proposed design also
get mentioned. These are the benefits that can be found from improved
performance, better connectivity, tightened security and higher
convenience. The network performance highly depends upon the way
parts of the network are connected with each other and the component
count involved. The report then tackles the security aspect of the network,
following which the convenience aspect from wireless access points also
gets discussed. Then the report ends with observations discussed in the
conclusion section.
