Introduction
Study skills are the abilities through which a student is able to perform well within a University

and outperform from other candidates. This following report can be divided into three study

sections where the justification for wanting to study within a University will be investigated. The

purpose
of this study is to clearly illustrate the necessary abilities that are needed by a student to
better his future. Along with the skills a person can develop and the time it will require to attain

them will be mentioned as well.

1. What are the main reasons for studying a degree at university?

Education is an important part of any good student. In order for a student to have a deep

understanding of a particular subject, they must attend a formal University where like-minded

people exchange ideas. University not only helps a student to gain connectivity with highly

qualified professors it also helps a student to become more accepting in dealing with different

types of people in a similar field (
Cottrell, 2015).
Developing career opportunities
- Within a University student not only does theoretical aspects
but also gets to learn practical aspects of material as tests are conducted. Within a good

University, field testing, as well as theoretical tests, is performed so that a student can have both

conceptual and practical understanding of how things work. Being in a good University also

helps in being placed within a particular industry in a must quicker fashion.

Personality and social development
- There is a huge social aspect which is active within a
University as well, interacting with other students and people of a similar field helps a student to

develop interactive abilities. Within University many students are mandated to give vocal test as

well as PowerPoint presentation in front of a large audience. This helps shy students come out of

the cell and help them develop a more robust and tough exterior through which they can perform

business negotiations (

Future investment
- When a student enters within a good University then he has the surety that
he will get a job or at least the skills through which we can run a good business. In this particular

sense, education within a University place or medium through which individual can invest and

enhance their prospective futures. The higher the level of effort a student give within the

confines of a University the better the chances are that they will outperform in the market when

compared to others.

There are several academic skills that a student must develop in order to become better versed so

that he can perform better than other candidates who are enrolled within the university. Some of

the most essential skills that would help a student to move forward within the university as well

as the outside market have been illustrated here.

Oral skills are the ability of a student to communicate in a concise and clear manner with the
audience whom he is engaging.
As mentioned earlier public speaking skills, PowerPoint
presentations and interacting with other students is a way through which a student can improve

their ability to communicate.

Writing Skill

Writing skills is the way through which a student can learn how to formally interact with another

professional in a similar industry. In case a student is in the medical field then he must

understand how to use the medical jargon in a way so that real meaning is exchanged with other

Vocational skills

Field testing is one of the best ways through which vocational skills can be imparted to a student.

University is explored. This study can be broken down into three parts. In the initial stages of

this report, the reasons why a student would want to go to university route to attain a degree has

been elaborated.

management and others have been discussed that a student can develop in order to move forward

in the university.
