INTRODUCTION The study skills for higher education are crucial to enhance the learnings of individuals. Therefore, active listening, note-taking, stress management, time management all are things that aids to manage the things effectively (Cuevas and Dawson, 2018). By actively undertaking development of study skill and learning strategies aids to motivate people easily. The present report is based on Study skill for higher education. Furthermore, assignment will focus on activities as to discussion on styles of learning that allows the student to learn better. The study will also lay emphasise on to develop study plan that includes short term and long term goals to attain professional and academic success. MAIN BODY A. Discussion on learning styles and how they allow student to learn better. Learning style defined as range of competing and contested theories that mainly aim towards to undertaken account for difference within learning of individuals. It can be termed out as defined, classified and identified in varied manner. Therefore, learning styles can be defined in following manner as are- Visual-It is style in which learner prefers to use the maps, image and graphic organizer to reach and understand crucial information. Auditory-They are the learners who best understand the content with help of listening and speaking in situation such as group discussion and lectures.Therefore, they use repetition as technique of study and benefit from the use of mnemonic devices. Read & Write-In this, it can be stated out that student with strong reading and better writing preference learn best with help of words. Kinaesthetic-Thelearnerswhoundertakethisapproachandbestunderstandthe information with help of tactile creation of information (Husmann and O'Loughlin, 2019). Thus, they defined as hands on learner and learn the best with help of identifying things out by hand. Discussion and evaluation on the benefits of learning styles There are different learning styles that are identified as visual, auditory, read & Write and Kinaesthetic styles. Thus, these are defined in following manner as are-
Visual- There are number of beneficial aspect of being visual learning and this is inclusive of creation of clear charts and graph that express the concepts and have strong spatial skills that supports in mapping directions. Auditory learning style- The one of the potential advancement of this style is that the learner assimilate and retain information without looking looking over the pictures or test. On the other hand, difficulty in learning of this style is among the silently reading learners within library is one of beneficial aspect. Read and write learning style- It is one of the effective style that makes the learners more independent. With help of taking notes, they can learn and retain more of the concepts on their own. Additionally, the disadvantage can be found as that they are not being able to learn easily only with audio and visual instruction (Akkoyunlu and Yilmaz-Soylu, 2008). Kinaesthetic learning style-In this, learner prefers to learner with help of doing and moving. Under this, learners prefers interactive learning with help of practical challenges, hands on experience and taking in information as they move from one direction to another. Thus, one of the main beneficial aspect of this learning style is to expose learner for the faster practice and evidence. On the other hand, the disadvantage aspect of this learning style is that this make the classroom setting uncomfortable. Learningstrategiesandtechniquesthataidstoimprovememoryretentionand understanding that how people learn- There are plenty of things that can be done to improve the memory. Thus, there are some techniques that can be helpful to enhancing memory retention. Its defined in following manner as are- Focus your attention-It is one of major components of memory. This is essential to enhance the memory retention of individual. Furthermore, this is crucial to put focus on crucial task so that effective learning of an individual can be enhanced. Avoiding cramming-The studying materials over number of session gives time to adequately process information. Therefore, the research has continually shown that student who study regularly remember the material in much far and better manner.

New skills- In order to undertake the things effectively, the individual needs to learn the new skill. The enhancement in skill help to increase the knowledge of an individual. Long term goalsare crucial for undertaking successful career. It requires time and planning. This targets for future performance and results. Therefore, long term goals defined in following manner as are- Skills-To acquire the skill such as technical skill.For example- project manager needs to increase his skill by learning basic coding skill in scripting language. Management- It is term that allowed to gain experience in management or to take aspects that aids to bring improvement within skills of management.
