INTRODUCTION
The study skills for higher education are crucial to enhance the learnings of individuals.
Therefore, active listening, note-taking, stress management, time management all are things that
aids to manage the things effectively (Cuevas and Dawson, 2018). By actively undertaking
development of study skill and learning strategies aids to motivate people easily.
The present report is based on Study skill for higher education. Furthermore, assignment
will focus on activities as to discussion on styles of learning that allows the student to learn
better. The study will also lay emphasise on to develop study plan that includes short term and
long term goals to attain professional and academic success.
MAIN BODY
A. Discussion on learning styles and how they allow student to learn better.
Learning style defined as range of competing and contested theories that mainly aim
towards to undertaken account for difference within learning of individuals. It can be termed out
as defined, classified and identified in varied manner. Therefore, learning styles can be defined
in following manner as are-
Visual- It is style in which learner prefers to use the maps, image and graphic organizer
to reach and understand crucial information.
Auditory- They are the learners who best understand the content with help of listening
and speaking in situation such as group discussion and lectures. Therefore, they use
repetition as technique of study and benefit from the use of mnemonic devices.
Read & Write- In this, it can be stated out that student with strong reading and better
writing preference learn best with help of words.
Kinaesthetic- The learners who undertake this approach and best understand the
information with help of tactile creation of information (Husmann and O'Loughlin,
2019). Thus, they defined as hands on learner and learn the best with help of identifying
things out by hand.
Discussion and evaluation on the benefits of learning styles
There are different learning styles that are identified as visual, auditory, read & Write and
Kinaesthetic styles. Thus, these are defined in following manner as are-
