INTRODUCTION
The individual report of study skills for higher education is a statement for preparation of
happenings, findings, observation and recommendation for students who are appearing for higher
educational studies (Gupta, Goul, and Dinter, 2015). This policy is introduced to enhance the
level of education among young and teenager. Also, to provide education to students who belong
to lower income group. The individual report will highlight about the importance of foundation
year course. Report will also cover key challenges face by foundation year students and ways to
overcome them will be explained in the report to increase adaptability in regular students of
universities. The conclusion will also be drawn for the key points which will highlight under this
report.
MAIN BODY
Importance of Foundation year for the students in wide participation background.
The foundation year is basic year of learning for students who want to get entry into
university degree course and did not posses for enough qualification. The foundation year
provides basic overview and knowledge of the subject in course degree to opt through the
students (The Challenges Facing UK Higher Education, 2019). The subjects which are included
in foundation year course is business management, social science, sport related subjects and
biological science which are made available to course (Tomblin, Walker, and Moeller, 2015).
Tutors and expert provides depth knowledge and basics of subject and to improve the learning
skill and vocational ability of students. Thus, they can complete the course degree without
complications.
The foundation year course also offers knowledge in regard to subject of students. This
improves learning skills and vocational ability of students. So, that they get eligible to qualify to
pursue degree after this foundation year course (Thomas, Salem, and Kern, eds. 2016). The
