INTRODUCTION Study skill is said to array of skill that tackles methods to organise and take new information along with dealing with assessments(Assiter, 2017). It is an approach which is applied towards learning. It is critical for higher education, critical success in learning and considered important for attaining good grades. The present essay is based on an article and answers to questions about reasons for difficulties in maintaining work life balance in university. It also discusses the ways in which students can design effective study plan with the purpose of overcome difficulties. It also identifies and evaluates ways for improving reading skills by learners. MAIN BODY Identification of some reasons related to difficulties in managing work life balance at university. Discussion on the ways students can design effective study plan for overcome difficulties According to Lawton (2019), mounting social along with academic pressure says that higher education can be huge challenging for a student. Work life balance is said to lack of opposition among work to that of other roles. In other terms, it is about equilibrium state in which demands related to personal, family and professional life are qual. In context to university students, they are facing huge difficulties or complexities to manage work life balance because of following students: Pressure to be successful: at university level, students find it more complex to maintain work life balance as they have huge pressure for becoming successful in the competitive world. They see other successful students and makes themselves engaged in learning activities for becoming successful(Kyte and Et. Al., 2017). It is also identified that a student in university has more doubts for their successful future that makes them worried about the efforts will make them successful or not to have great future. Getting placement in lucrative organisation: University students have huge thoughts to get lucrative job role once they complete their graduation studies. However, when the rates or proportion of university placement are seen by students this enhances their difficulties for maintaining balancing aspects in work life. At same time, competition for lucrative job role among students is generally high which is another reason that create complexities among students to manage their work life balance(Long, Cummins and Waugh, 2017). 1
Effective study plan is defined as organised schedule that outlines study times as well as learning objectives. The certain ways through which university students can achieve success in designing appropriate study plan in order to deal with complexities isanalysing own existing study habits along with styles of learningwhich is the first step in which students must think about the things that works and the things which do not work. Accordingly they will analyse their current habits and styles through which they learn. Further, students willevaluate current schedule and management of timein different learning(Manning, 2017). For this they can use digital calendar in order to block all standards commitments and extracurricular activities. It will let them know the time they spend and the time available for them to study hard. When students are aware about the available time with them to study then candevelop effective schedulein which they can schedule their study session along with devote time to other recreational activities. By identifying learning objectives for each class will help students to determine the time they requires to spend studying. Throughassessing calendarsthey can make emphasis towards overarching objectives that will motivate them to overcome complexities and manage their work life in balance. The last issticking to schedules whereinuniversity students can achieve success in cracking placement requirements and making returns on investment through enhancing their knowledge in desired level. Identification and evaluation of ways through which students can improve reading skills In university, a student acquires various types of skill through interacting with new people, attending classes etc(Pears and Shields, 2019). Following are identified ways with the help of which students can enhance their reading skills in university: Vocabulary: It is one of effective way to gain knowledge in reading comprehension in English. When student wants to improve their reading skills they can adopt the approach for gaining excellence in reading. They can also note complex terms from vocabularies to enhance future reading(Succi and Canovi, 2019). The benefit of the method is that it helps student to memorise wide words that they can use for future reading, however, disadvantage of the method is that it makes huge difficulties in initial duration which even makes a student frustrated. Online article: It is one of effective platform for improving reading skill. A student can select best article writers as well as follow their articles on regular basis. This will benefits in adapting the tricks that are used by writers and marking unknown words as well as memorise carefully.
