INTRODUCTION The skills are those practices from which the students can learn and grow in their career. It is very important aspect for the students as good skills help them to increase confidence, serf esteem and competence in their higher education. It is very important that the students should have various skill set in order to be unique and gain the competitive advantage from its peers. The universities focus on improving the skill so that the student is able to handle situations in their workplace and is well prepared for the different scenarios(Mukingambeho,and et.al. 2019).This report will include the 10 explanations on 10 skills which is taught to the students and help them in their career TASK Identify the 10 skills which is taught to the students and help them to succeed them in their career? To survive in today's competitive world it is very important for the students to have skill sets to be unique and have abilities to utilise their skills in their academic learning. The students also need to crave out the types of skills by considering them in their practising as these abilities will help them to build a strong professional career(Vinichenko,Melnichuk. and Makushkin, 2020).In this, there are numerous skills that a student need to have, which is explained below: Management skill-This skill is taught in universities so that the student is able to lean how to manage things with the limited time and opportunities available in a particular situation. Management is all about learning about how to manage the work or task assigned. It is important for the students to manage their time as if they start managing in their higher studies then only they will able to manage things in their jobs. This requires a lot of efforts and attention. If this skill is properly utilised by the student it will help ti manage and be more efficient in their workplace. So, it is proved that for the career growth it is important for the students to have time management skills in order to reach the new heights(Suleman, 2018). Leadership–This skill consists of the strength and ability of the student to lead the team and direct the subordinates or the other members which the right direction towards the goals and objectives of the task . This skill help the students to build their career path as 1
this improves the confidence in the students to have a ability of directing and motivating other to complete the project on time. The leadership is taught in universities by assigning the group so that the student is abler to know how to lead a team. This will help in in future in their jobs and the efforts and the good leadership qualities will offer the best outcome in the growth of the individual(Grinberga-Zalite, and et.al., 2019). ď‚·Communication-this is the most important skill required as a management students. The universities basic step is hat the student should be able to communicate the right information to the others. This skill helps the students in their jobs as it makes a clear understanding that how to handle the clients and how to manipulate and make them understand of the products or service. A good communication will always help the students in making the right decision and giving the right information to the others. Development of this skill facilitate an interaction and help to perform task efficiently with high productivity. Hence , for the better career it is important that the student should have good communication skill(Roepen, 2017). ď‚·Research-This skill me4ans the ability of a individual to have a deep understanding of analysing and identifying the aspects of the project assigned. It included ability of searching, locating, extracting, organising and evaluating information in the particular filed or the topic. This skill involves intensive research and investigation and a critical analysis which helps the individual in developing their career. It is an important skill which is required because in today's scenario the organisations look for the people who have the ability of analysing the market situation in order to be competitive from the other organisations. So. Itis considere4d that the individuals should have this skill in themselves for their career growth and professional development(Simpson, 2018). ď‚·Creativity- This skill is defined as the ability of an individual to think in a different way about the task or a problem. This also included to the invaginations of an individual which can create new ideas. It is very important that the person utilise this skill set if he/has the creative mindset. This skill lead to the feeling of an achievement and pride for a student that they have the ability to think in a unique way. This skill help the student to solve the complex problems and to find the attractive w3ays to approach any kind of project or task. This is considered as the internal part of the professional and personal life of an individual. There are situations where the people need to choose and this aspect should be considered the most important part because one decision can entirely change the perspectives. This skill develop from time to time and experiences of an individual. It is helpful for the students to improve their decision making skills as this have impact on their career opportunities(Hamidi and Chavoshi, 2018). ď‚·Listening-This means that the ability of an individual to focus on the accuracy of the received message or the information through the communication process. It is very important for the students to have a good listening skill in order to effective and efficient in their task. If the guidelines and the direction given by the professors is not properly heard by the student which can create a mismatch of the work that need to be done and what is expected by the other person. The understanding is the important task which is required in this skill set. It is important for their career growth also where there are managers at a higher level and the instruction are given once at a huge space. So it is essential part for the students(Singh, and Singh, 2019). ď‚·Technical-These are the skills where an individual need ability and knowledge to perform the various tasks. These skills are related to mechanical, information technology, engineering etc. it is very important for the students to have some technical knowledge in order to be different gain advantage of this skill from their peers. This is helpful for them in their career because in today world the managers want to recruit those candidates who can put their high level efforts and ability from the very first day of the job. The candidates with this skill are very much in need for the organisation and they are highly paid which is a benefit for the individual in their career(Kunicina and et.al. 2019). ď‚·Problem solving-This skill includes the ability of an individual to handle the difficult and unexpected situations in the workplace. This skill is been taught by the universities so that the student learn to exploit the opportunities within the environment. This is considered the important sill for the students for their career perspective because in the 3
organisation the recruiter questions the candidate by situating a problem and how the individual have a ability and mindset to solve the complex problems which can arise at any point of time(Barry and et.al., 2018). ď‚·Team work-This is the skill required by the management students and they are been taught in the universities that how the team work affects the task and it makes the task easier. But to have a good team, the individual effort matter a lot because if the person is not taking initiate and not putting efforts which can create a chaos in the team. This is very helpful for the students in their workplace and career perspectives because if the student lean how to work as team it can be more effective and efficient and the productivity will increase(Pugsley, 2018). CONCLUSION From the above report it is concluded that the above skill which are discussed is very important for the students in their career and this will make them to identify their kknow3ldge and enhance their skill in their tasks and project and further in their career growth opportunities. These skills gave them a different perspective of thinking and solving the problems which may arise ar any point of time. It also enhance the confidence of an individual and motivates them to work more effectively and efficiently. Students just ned to identify their potential and work upon their skill so that they reach to the new heights in their academic learning and career. 4
