INTRODUCTION
Drugs are specific types of substances that leaves negative impacts upon mind set and physical
health of the consumers of it. Due to this, changes in an organism’s physiology may take place that
will affect the human health. After consuming it, it is very difficulty for a person to be in the
census. Some specific types of drugs are also used in pharmaceutical products in a limited quantity
as it helps to cure different types of diseases.

between them. This presentation is mainly based upon critical evaluation of the relation of both of
them. For this purpose, different elements are discussed in this presentation. These are detailed
analysis f drugs, major crimes, causes of them and relationship between both of them.

WHAT ARE DRUGS?
Drugs are the clinical substances which are required to be
taken in specific quantity as higher consumption of it may
result in challenges for health and threat for health of it. The
number of youngsters who are consuming it is increasing
continuously as most of them love far away from family and
they become in contact with such individuals who guide them
and provoke to consume drugs.

Most of the young students who live away from their family face various mental challenges and to
deal with them they think that consuming is the only way to deal with them. Some specific
situations that are faced by them are depression, stress etc. There are various types of drugs that are
mainly consumed by people. These are stimulants which includes cocaine which is very injurious
for a human health, depressants and one example of it is alcohol, opium-related painkiller which
includes heroin etc. Apart from this. Hallucinogens are also some specific drugs and LSD is one of
its examples. All of them harmful for health of individuals and it is very important for them to
understand it and stop consumption of it.

impacts upon it. While making medicines some of these drugs are used as they are cure of some
specific health issues but if the quantity of them will be increased then the medication will also not
be able to cure the diseases. These are known as pharmaceutical drugs and these are used to treat,
prevent, diagnose or detect a disease and promote well-being. Some of the examples of dangerous
drugs are foxy methoxy, khat, dragonfly, benzo fury, krokodil, scopolamine etc. These are required
to be ignored all the people as they directly impact human health.

MAJOR CRIMES
There are various types of crimes which are taking place
because of the consumption of drugs by individuals. It is very
important for them to stop them as it is affecting the society
and threating the people from living their life freely. When a
person intakes drugs then it is very difficult for that person to
be in the censes and in this situation, they perform different
types of crimes.

According to US bureau of justice statistics the number of crimes because of consumption of drugs
are increasing massively and it is affecting the social life of individuals who are not in touch of
such substances. Drug addiction, abuse and over consumption of it results in drug related crimes.
The main crimes from them are rape, theft, bullies, robbery, physical assort of victims etc.
According to a study of UK government all the persons who are consuming drugs are tends to be
more violent as compared to the normal people and this violence affect the individuals who are
living around them.

CAUSES OF CRIMES
There are various crimes that are increasing at global level with a massive rate. These are rape, physical assault,
theft, robbery, social violence etc. There are various causes of them which could be analysed with the help of
following discussion:
• The main cause of crimes is continuous increment in the consumption of drugs around the world as most of the
youngsters are intaking it to recue their stress level. When they consume it they loose their mental stability
which results in crimes by them.
• Another cause of crimes is lack of guidance to the individuals who are preforming activities related to criminal
offences. If they will be guided properly then it will be very easy to motivate them to ignore such activities.

• In some the countries some crimes are not dealt properly and the laws regarding them are not
very strict and due to this the individuals, who perform them do not get threaten. It results in
increasing crimes with a higher rate.
• Lack of education is also a cause of such crimes when people will not have proper education
about what is right and what is wrong then it will be very difficult for them to differentiate
between them and they will perform criminal activities.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
DRUGS AND CRIME
Drugs and crime are interrelated with each other because if an individual will become addicted
for a drug then that person can do anything to get that drug whether it is good or bad. For
example, if students will get addicted to cocaine then it will be very difficult for them to stay
away of it. They can do anything to buy it. If they will not be having sufficient money for it then
they will steal money from anywhere so that they can buy it and consume it.

If a person is having cocaine and the addicted person will
ask that individual to gave it then the holder can ask
anything to do for it. The individual with its addiction will
do anything for that person so that the drug could be
acquired.

• It could be a criminal offence or worst from that. It shows that drugs
and crime are having very close relationship. If the person will not get
the drug then it will make him or her violent which will also result in
criminal offence.
• Over consumption of drugs results in loss of censes which also results
in crimes. If a person will not be in censes then it will be very difficult
to differentiate between good and right thigs. In this type of situation
criminal offences such as rape and physical assaults take place.

The percentage of rape is increasing massively and the number of rapes on daily basis is also
increasing as the individuals who consume drugs abuse girls or boys physically. On the other hand,
murders are also increasing because of intaking of drugs. For example, if an individual is having
any type of small misunderstanding of a big fight and the person have consumed drugs then it will
also provoke to take illegal steps. In this situation, they also take life of each other.

It is the main reason of continuous increment in the deaths because of rape and personal fights. The above
discussion can show that if a person will consume drug then any type of criminal activity can be performed
by him or her because due to this the ability to think or understand get decreased. These crimes are
affecting life and standard of living of such individuals who are living around the persons who are
consuming drugs. It is very important for them to take control over their addiction and go to rehab centre
so that they can get over the addiction and live a happy life. If it will not be controlled by them then it will
increase their involvement in criminal offences which may result in legal actions in future.

This presentation concludes that drugs and crimes have direct relation because consumption of such
substances affect the ability of an individual to think and they take part in activities that may result
in criminal offence. There are various types of drugs that are taken by youngsters to deal with their
level of stress and depression. These are alcohol, cocaine, heroine etc. It is very important for them
to understand that consumption of them is very harmful for them as well as the society and they
should make sure that they ignore it.
