The assignment project was given task from the course lecturer Mr. Paul Chandra Bose as giving
an oral presentation on a vacation spot. Main purpose of project is based on our opinion and
personal thoughts are stating the main task of the project we have gone through out this
assignment and the knowledge we learned. Further, the purpose is knowing and plan everything
in report about communicating with people, the procedure of conducting activities in vacation spot.
The project plan defines with following content.

1.2 Reason for Choosing the Place
Sungai Lembing Is small town which is located nearby Kuantan, Pahang. Most of the people in
Malaysia was forgotten about this place, but there also few people who still visit this place. Sungai
Lembing is also best place for vacation on holiday season. There is also a lot of facilities available
such as hotels, resorts and also lodges.
When visiting Sungai Lembing, you'll feel right at home at Green Peace Sungai Lembing, which

Haji Ahmad agriculture park are famous activities which we can enjoy there.
1.3 Snippet of the Place (Rainbow Waterfall)
Malaysia is blessed with abundant rainforests all throughout the country, and with it comes
gorgeous waterfall. At Sungai Lembing has one of the most magnificent waterfalls in the country.
The unique feature of this waterfall is that from 9 till 10am every morning. The sun hits the falling
water at the base of the falls and creates a beautiful rainbow. People come from all over the
country to make the one journey just to see the beautiful nature. It’s a great spot to see for those
who love adventure and enjoy the natural beauty of jungle. And it’s called rainbow waterfall.
2.0 BODY
2.1 Map, Direction and Transportation.
The transportation available which from Unitar International University to Sungai Lembing Pahang
is by bus, car, and flight. The three types of transportation are common transportation and also
available at any time. To be a perfect vacation and not to be hassle and bustle at last minute,
students required to set up a strategic plan for the transportation a week earlier.
2.1.1 Bus
The direction from Unitar International University to Sungai Lembing Pahang by bus is,students
required to take free Selangor bus at bank Islam bus station to LRT Kelana Jaya station with

estimated time taken is around 20 minutes. Then from LRT Kelana Jaya station they should travel
to KL Sentral station for around 22 minutes and its cost RM3.40.
Once reach KL Sentral station, students should take KLIA transit to Bandar Tasik Selatan for
around 7 minute’s travel and its cost RM6.50. At Bandar Tasik Selatan students have to
interchange from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan Kuala Lumpur to Terminal Sentral Kuantan by bus
around 3 hours and 30 minute’s time taken to reach there and the cost RM28.80. The final travel
from Terminal Sentral Kuantan to Sungai Lembing by MyRapid bus route 500 with 45 minute’s
travel and the cost RM4. In addition, the total time taken to reach Sungai Lembing Pahang from
Unitar International University is around 5 hours 49 minutes including the 45 minutes of transfer to
one another transportation. With the total cost of travelling is RM42.70. Students required to start
their journey at 8am and reach the destination around 1:49pm. The map of travelling from Unitar
International University to Sungai Lembing Pahang by bus is attached in Appendices 1.1.
2.1.2 Car
If students prefer to travel to Sungai Lembing Pahang from Unitar International University by car,
then it much easier compare to bus or flight transportation. It is because, students can lessen the
time taken to reach the destination. When students start their journey at 8 AM then they can reach
the destination by 11:12 AM. It is because, the time taken to travel by car is 3 hours and 12
minutes and the cost of the journey is around RM50 for the approximate fuel cost and RM31.20
for the toll fee. Its total cost of travelling is RM81.20. Meanwhile, they can take rest in between at
any R&R’s. The map of travelling from Unitar International University to Sungai Lembing Pahang
by car is attached in Appendices 1.2.
2.1.3 Aero Transportation
The direction from Unitar International University to Sungai Lembing Pahang by flight is, students
required to take free Selangor bus at bank Islam bus station to LRT Kelana Jaya station with
estimated time taken is around 20 minutes. Then from LRT Kelana Jaya station they should travel
to KL Sentral station for around 22 minutes and its cost RM3.40. After reach KL Sentral station,
students should take KLIA Express to Terminal KLIA (KUL) for around 28 minutes and its cost

RM55. At Terminal KLIA (KUL) fly to Kuantan airport (KUA) for around 45 minutes and its cost
RM150. Students required to take taxi from Kuantan airport (KUA) to Indera Mahkota for per
person cost around 15 minute’s travel and its cost RM30. After then, students have to take
MyRapid bus from route 302 Indera Mahkota 1 to route 500 Sungai Lembing for 40 minutes and
its cost RM4. Moreover, the total time taken to reach Sungai Lembing Pahang from Unitar
International University is around 3 hours 35 minutes including the 45 minutes of transfer to one
another transportation. With the total cost of travelling is RM242.40. Students required to start
their journey at 8am and reach the destination around 11.35am.
2.2 Interesting Facts
The jungle and rock trail were one of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls you have ever seen.
Tourists can see the gorgeous rainbow at the base of the falls. The waterfall itself is pretty tall,
with gushes of water from the top thinning into light sprays once it reaches the bottom. The
waterfall is crystal clear and icy-cold and its perfect place for a dip after the trek through the
jungle.
2.3 Activities Available
2.3.1 Hanging Bridge
Sungai Lembing has a few hanging bridges to connect people from the other side of the river to
the main town. 'Jambatan Gantung' means hanging bridge and it is used by the local to walk and
you can even ride a motorbike on this bridge.
2.3.2 Rainbow Waterfall
If you are planning on seeing the rainbow, you need to plan ahead and start on your journey early,
as it can only be seen in the morning. It will take around 1-hour drive on 4W drive and another 45
minutes trekking to the fall. The trail is well-signposted and it will lead your way to the waterfall.
2.3.3 Panorama Hill
You can watch the sunrise at Panorama Hill. You need to climb the stair to the top of the hill to
enjoy the scenery. It will take around 45 minutes’ walk on average.
Tips:
 Bring your own torch light because there will be no lights along the way.
 Avoid going on weekend due to the large crowds.

It is about 16 kilometers away from Sungai Lembing. It provides excellent opportunities for the
more adventurous to shoot the rapids on rafts. Camping sites are available for visitors, who can
have side activities like jungle trekking, bird watching or simply soaking themselves in the natural
hot-springs.
2.3.5 Bekelah Waterfall
It is located 5 kilometers from Kampung Paya Gelugor, 60 kilometers west of Kuantan, on the old
Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan road. Bekelah has a series of seven cascading waterfalls. Visitors can
come here to have camping, picnics or swimming.
2.3.6 Agro Resort Sungai Semuji
The Agro Resort Sungai Semuji in Kuantan offers a holiday of tranquility and fun in the midst of a
tropical wilderness. Here, you will happily find modern-day convenience harmonized thoughtfully
with a host of leisure pursuits of the ‘nature’ kind. One of the most popular must undoubtedly be
the ‘Durian Waiting’ season. This takes place usually from June through August when swollen
golden-green ‘durian’ detaches itself from free limbs upon ripening. During this season, visitors
pay a certain ‘package fee’ to be allowed to linger in the orchards awaiting the descent of this
succulent ‘king of fruits’ in all its aromatic glory.
2.3.7 Sultan Haji Ahmad Agriculture Park
Originally established by the Department of Agriculture in 1988, the 300-hectare park serves
primarily as a research station and one of the many agriculture development centers in the
country. It is divided into fruit orchards, arboretum, spice farms, recreational park, campsites, an
exhibition center, research station and a forest reservation area. The park now offers you a
pleasant introduction to the many exotic tropical plants, fruits and spices. When in season, fruits
such as rambutan, durians and mangos teen are available for the visitors to sample and buy. A
walk in the forest reserves provides you with an excellent opportunity to be mesmerized by the
magic of the Tropical Rain Forest in the chorus of cicadas and the various species of feathered
songstresses.
2.4 Capacity and Other Positive Aspects of the Place.
Definitely, we have many places to our list to visit for waterpark areas such Sunway Lagoon,
Langkawi and may such foreign iconic places, why not we discover the place in our own country.
Eventually, in our country there has many gems places that not popular so there has challenge for
us to find this kind of places and discover the positive aspect around us. Further, people have less

income and money eagerly wanted a vacation period will be useful to choosing unpopular
vacation spots such this place. The major positive aspects this place will be more valuable and
open on weekends that’s will be easy for many of us whom works for five days in a week.
2.4.1 Place to Stay.
The Time Capsule Retreat is a new concept resort nestled between lush greenery and facing a
forest reserve in Sungai Lembing. What makes the retreat unique is the unconventional rooms
that can be found here capsule rooms that are made up of concrete pipe cylinders, as well as
rooms inside whole containers.
The retreat is basic and minimalistic, yet comfortable and peaceful. With its laid-back atmosphere
and beautiful views of the surrounding forests, it makes a great base to get away from the hectic
city life for a little while. The place will be shown in Appendices 2.4.1
2.4.2 Hiking in the Rainbow Waterfall
First up, riding on the jeep across mountains and rivers was undoubtedly an eye-opening
experience, as will treated with excellent views along the way. It took about an hour to reach a
broader river before we made our way to the famous waterfall.
The hike to Rainbow Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains begins from the Rainbow Falls
Trailhead, located just outside of Gatlinburg. Starting from Light 8 in Gatlinburg, turn onto Historic
Nature Trail / Airport Road. After driving 0.7 miles veer right onto Cherokee Orchard Road, upon
which you'll enter into Great Smoky Mountain National Park. After driving another 2.2 miles you'll
enter the one-way Cherokee Orchard Loop Road. After driving roughly 0.6 miles on the loop, the
Rainbow Falls Trailhead will be located on your right. If this lot is full, there's an auxiliary parking
area about a tenth-of-a-mile further down the road. The image will be shown in Appendices 2.4.2

2.4.3 The Handmade Lembing Mee Factory
Visit the Sungai Lembing Noodle factory next door. This factory supplies almost all the noodle
stalls in Sungai Lembing. People can buy some handmade noodles.
3.0 CONCLUSION
Overall, all the aspects of enjoying this place is fabulous reaction whom fitting into adventurous
mentality. As per concluding this assignment regarding the vacation spot Rainbow Waterfalls
which located in Sungai Lembing was gem of place to spend with less crowded, good people
whom concern our life when we undertaking into activities during hiking with waterfalls, cave and
etc. This place gave the warmed felt during all the duration such the noise of water lying the rocks,
gave us the peace of mind in mentality. We humans usually been in busy period throughout our
life because it’s life nature. The age of energy makes us busy. Period of vacation is lasting few
days, it necessary for have good break like this. The vital point we have clear mindset for move
into our reality. Apart from that this place is fantastic and nearby places is making us choose
multiple choices of varieties of vacation spots. Moreover, as concluding sentence this awesome
experience to say about this location and the feeling towards the nature is marvelous.

4.0 RECOMMENDATION
The recommending points will be such:
 The place needs more staying place to cover from sun, when sun rise up there has little
spaces to cover.
 The place needs more innovative idea of staying areas such attract more customers
 The place has more driving places more than walking place adventure.
 The places seem has less enjoyable areas for kids under 12, so the management of the
Rainbow Waterfall may consider and make generously adventurous.
 The management to have a warning signboards of children awareness below 12 years, no
slipper swimming, no entries after 10pm.
 The management can suggest to have a shop which can rental the safety jackets for the
visitors, so that they have the self-safety and its help to all the visitors.
 Will recommend this place for a younger people because the rocks are slippery. The hike
is challenging for those with low stamina and difficulty in climbing, so they should wear a
proper hiking shoes for safety purpose.
 The management of Sungai Lembing to equip their safety system on attending for the
adventurous activities. This will make the tourist feel more satisfy and secure to visit
Sungai Lembing, otherwise I will recommend this place as the best vacation place for
everyone.
