Onenvironmental issues on emission of Co2 gas they have to plan trips with minimumcost having minimum Co2 emission.Case 1: Delivery System Design at Bullseye Department Store (50%)Bullseye Department store is a discount retailer of general merchandise. Thecompany owns 50 stores, but they are supplied from a single warehouse. Most ofthe merchandise received at the warehouse arrives in trucks.Trucks are loaded by Dock which is capitalized in warehouse and operate by oneworker. There are 8 docks available in warehouse and one dock will take 30min toload one truck. When all docks are occupied new arriving trucks wait in a queueuntil one become available.Because of large chain of 50 stores but supplied from a single warehouse there isheavy load on single warehouse to entertain quickly. Bullseye also receivecomplaints from some trucking firms that deliveries are taking too long at thewarehouse. In order to mitigate this issue Bullseye has number of optionsavailable.

First Option:In order to minimize the time taken by trucks in warehouse is to hire an extraworker for each dock, it reduces time for each truck from 30min to 18 min but itwill cost $17 per hour extra. In order to use this option Bullseye can load approx.3.33 trucks per hour.

Second Option:In order to minimize the time taken by trucks in warehouse is to upgrade forkliftequipment, it reduce time for each truck from 30min to 23 min but it will cost $6per hour extra. In order to use this option Bullseye can load approx. 2.6 trucks perhour.
