INTRODUCTION
Supply chain management termed out as coordinating and integrating these flows both
within and among enterprise (Cousins, Lawson and Fugate, 2019). It is activities that works as to
maximise the customer value and also assist to attend the sustainable competitive advancement.
By managing the supply chain, the firms are able to cut excess cost and also assist to deliver the
products to consumer in faster mode.
The present report is based on supply chain analysis of Boeing. It is an American
multinational corporation that works as to design, manufactures, sells air-plans and
telecommunication equipment etc.
Furthermore, study will based on supply chain issue and evaluation will be conducted
with help of supply chain theory. Lastly recommendation will be given to bring improvement in
supply chain management activities.
MAIN BODY
Supply chain issues at an organisation.
In the Boeing, the one of the core issues that has been identified was relate with the
supply of highly innovative technology and design feature of dreamlines. It is entity that is facing
huge challenge in building of the dreamliner. Therefore, supply chain architecture of the
company was not systematic. Hence, decision taken by the company was not so effective. Hence,
parts of the Dreamlines was manufactured with different places in the world as Italy, Japan etc.
This new technical advancement got delayed in launch and this has affected the financial
performance of the company ( Saberi, Kouhizadeh and Shen, 2019).
Evaluation on chosen business scenario with application of supply chain model.
Supply chain model is management tool that mainly used to address, improve,
communicate supply chain management decision within firm with suppliers and customers of
enterprise. This is the model that put the major focus on the efficiency and responsiveness. To
bring out the effective working within the enterprise the entity must look over to streamlining the
supply chain activities ( Li, Li and Sethi, 2019). Supply chain management termed out as
process that works as to handling and optimizing all the many complicated aspect of a supply
chain that is inclusive of the goods and services. With the help of ensuring timely hand off from
manufacturer to shipper to supplier to shipper to buyer is a massive task and this must be
undertaken in the streamlined mode. Supply chain management defined as significant process of
