1.1 Factors affecting healthy and safe indoor environments and services Every human being is gifted with one of the most important qualities that are called common sense. It’s very important to take care of safety measures inside home and outside home. The safety measures are needed to take into account according to differing needs, specific needs and special needs (Wren, 2017). 1.2 Aware of risks and hazards and encouraged to work safely All the programs and training should be provided to everyone. Safety measures should be taught to children about how they may be safe in school time and while playing outside the home. 1.3 Current guidance for planning healthy and safe environments and services There are following educational settings that can be accounted for healthy and safe environment like Health and safety executive, department of education, The British Red Cross, British Standards Institute, Child Accident Prevention, Early Years Foundation Stage, Royal Society for the prevention of Accidents (Hannigan,and Edwards , 2015). 1.4 Implementation of current health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in own work There are several pieces of legislation such as: The Health and Safety at work act 1974, TheWorkplace(Health,SafetyandWelfare)Regulations1992,TheManualHandling OperationsRegulationsact1992,TheReportingofInjuries,DiseasesandDangerous Occurrences Regulations act 1995. 2.4 Assessment of health and safety risk All assessment of health and risk should be monitored by adopting following steps. Anything that may cause harm should be identified and should always be in mind that may be harmed by hazards, the risk should be assessed and actions must be applied according to that, recordofriskfindingismaintained,riskassessmentshouldbereviewedandanalysed (Wiegmann and Shappell, 2017). 3.1 Taking balance approach to risk management It is important to take a balance approach to risk management to preventthe loss of assets and lives .. Risks cannot be eliminated but it can be minimized so that our generation can grow and learn about this world. 1
3.2 Dilemma between rights and choices of children and young people Several new activities are done by children to improve themselves but this creates conflicts between rights of children and duty care of young people (Grote,, 2015). Therefore, the risk assessments on the activities and surroundings must be done so thatrights and choices can be preserved. 3.3 Example of supporting children or young people to assess and manage risk Different kinds of medicines were placed in house and a child was playing there it would be possible that those medicines are not recommended for small children soplaced those medicines from the outreach of that child. 4.1 Policies and procedures in response to accidents, emergencies and illness The main policies are health insurance and health polices like NHS system include Primary Healthcare Policy. Others are British Red Cross, St. Andrews Ambulance Association etc. People should be calm and conscious during emergencies. active (Duff and Shoveller 2015.). 4.2 Correct procedures for reporting accidents, incidents, and emergencies. A person must have all emergencies number to contact local caringservices. All the basic personal information should be with a man like name, date of birth, blood group etc. Accidents that are occurred in public should be informed quickly to hospitals and police. 2
