INTRODUCTION
Development assessment is said to measuring attainment of skills which allows ongoing
maturation, learning together with functioning among various people. Similarly, recording
assessment is said to recording all the activities that enhances skills and knowledge among
numerous people of age group of 1 to 5 years (Aimers and Walker, 2016). It is crucial to
practitioners as well as professionals to record all the developments among children in
systematic manner. The report includes usage of distinct methods concerned with development
assessment along with recording for children.

In present era, it is very necessary to monitor and assess development of children of the
age group between 1 to 5 years. It helps taking extra care of each person as well as ensures that
their needs are meet. It is the responsibility of pastoral carers to properly develop individual
including children and record all the events, behaviours together with developments in
systematic manner (Birkenmaier and Berg-Weger, 2017). Effective method to assess
development and maintain recordings for children along with young people are observation,
evidence recording and assessments. In context to observations, it is one of method to notice
something and acquiring information. Various practitioners watch or observes activities
performed by children and watch the ways they behave. Observations plays critical role in
assessing developments of children and young individuals in different situations and are able to
generate information about development, interests along with their interactions with other
people. Observing individuals of age group among 1 to 5 years helps in understanding strengths
and weaknesses in better manner and recording the areas where more concentration is needed in
context to developing more. Thus, Regular observations is effective method for recording
development assessment among children of age group between 1 to 5 years.
The another method is of assessment wherein distinct examinations are conducted to
analyse the development level among children. Assessments can be of various types that helps in
gathering information about development of child as well as reviewing them through maintaining
proper records (Baker and et. al., 2016). Assessment provides critical information about
development and growth of the children at distinct stages of life. The another method to assess

all the tangible activities that had occurred in front of practitioners in context to developments of
people (World Health Organization, 2016). These evidences acts as proof and are used by others
to analyse the development among various children in the age group of 1 to 5 years.

The above report summarises that it is very essential to use distinct methods in order to
develop assessments addition to recording in context to children. In present era, development is
key as to enjoy experiences in distinct situations and more necessary is their recordings. Some
important methods are evidence recording, observations and assessments that are mostly used by
practitioners for developing and recording improvements within children in the age group of 1 to
5 years.
