This paper discusses the role and dramatic significance of Lodovico as a character in William Shakespeare's play Othello. Lodovico serves many functions in shaping the play, including being a witness to the final tragic stages. He plays a vital role in Act 4 Scene 1 and is responsible for showing Othello the evidence of Iago's plan. Lodovico's character brings new direction to the play and influences Othello's transformation.
