Abstract
Underperformance being experienced in warehouse management is known to have the
capability of negatively impacting on the entire sector of the supply chain. This has further led to
various organizations not attaining most of the desired goals in real time since the needs of all
the customers are not met in an adequate time (Mangan and John 56). There is, therefore, the
need to come up with sufficient strategies that are associated with Warehouse management to
scale up various issues that are attached to global supply (Chen and Haozhe 129). It will
therefore implement the use of interviews in the methodology (Barney and Jay 78).
Challenges associated with warehouse management
There are quite some challenges that are attached to warehouse management. As many
businesses tend to grow, the owners usually face the challenge of adequately managing this kind
of growth together with the entire implications associated with most of the business operations
(Priem, Richard and Morgan 280). Stock control management is one of the major areas of a
particular business that has the capability of encountering quite some growing pains that appears
to be showing itself issues associated with increased costs, slow productivity and even the
wastage of the entire stock (Hitt and Michael 140). As most of the growing companies often
make some form of discoveries, a good number of their methods of operations together with
various types of technology implemented at the start can at some point emerge as a future barrier

affecting the operations of quite some organisations (Johnson, Peterson, and Zhaohui Wu 319).
On the other hand, one negative thing about these challenges facing warehouse
management is that most of them tend to tarnish the reputation of a given organisation thus
making it very hard to attract the attention of various customers who are known to be situated in
multiple locations (Tiwaria and Sunil. 365). Communication is one of the significant challenges
that are significantly affecting warehouse management. It has proved to be a massive challenge
within the entire logistical chain (Krause and Daniel 110). Effective communication has the
capability to maximize the rate of productivity within any organization. Once there is no
adequate communication across various employees together with the top management officials
of a given organisation, this is likely to pose the most significant challenge when it comes to the
management of multiple operations that are associated with warehouse management (Christopher
and Martin 198).
Moreover, another problem associated with warehouse management is the inaccurate
purchase of different types of orders. This happens typically when all the invoices are not able to
match what has been received on all the rules that have been purchased within a given time
frame (Sodhi and ManMohan. 380). Any business that is growing can encounter quite some
issues that generally appear to be unseen as a result of all the purchase orders being larger or
even more complicated. The only thing that can help to mitigate this form of challenge is to
appropriately implement adequate and reliable strategies of record keeping within the warehouse.
Handling of quite some damages within the boundaries of the warehouse has emerged to be a
severe problem as far as global supply chain management is concerned (Wang and Gang. 678).

Expert: Warehouse management is a vital issue that aims towards scaling up most of the
operations within the, and due to this, the entire organisation cannot adequately operate without
an appropriate implementation of warehouse management strategies.

management issues are concerned?

best alternatives that aim towards taking the entire company on the right track for it to be able to

gone further to make quite some operations to be much easier thus avoiding the occurrence of
any issues during the services.

employees where every individual is generally taken through a three days training for the entire

reputation across the borders and even go as far as meeting the needs of our customers known to
be situated in various locations.

Whenever most of the items are broken in most of the warehouse operations, this usually
appears to be expensive to be the entire department of the organisation (Gereffi, Gary, and
Joonkoo Lee 234). This issue related to product damages is likely to be brought by the inability
to implement adequate strategies that will be able to govern the way various parameters are
being handled within the warehouse.
On the other hand, globalisation also tends to be another challenge. The net result that is
attached to globalisation tends to be a massive kind of influx associated with a competition that
originates from abroad (Tate and Wendy 416). Products originating from different countries are
not able to offer the same amount of artistry most so the one that any given organisation might
decide to take pride in offering, but instead, their lower production cost has the capability of
killing the nature of the entire business (Richey and Glenn 419). The only situation that can help
to save such a condition is the adequate implementation of effective warehouse management that
will even go as far as keeping time together with money through the application of quite some
automated processes along with a higher level of accuracy when it comes to the delivery of
various types of orders. The ability to encounter quite some redundant processes within the
warehouse has the capability of increasing labour costs in the entire organisation (Pagell, Mark,
and Anton Shevchenko 112). Once there is an increase in the level of labor cost, there are higher
chances of that organisation encountering a high percentage of losses. Moreover, those
warehouses that have been able to meet one or more of the above challenges have ended up
finding one of the most challenging times in terms of carrying out various duties in an adequate
manner; this further prevents them from even competing with the rest of the other warehouses
that tend to operate within the market platform (Waller, Matthew and Stanley 410).

capable of adequately handling a good number of stock management issues which majorly
include things like taking advantage of more advanced forms of technology that can perform

About the above data, nearly all three companies were able to support warehouse
management techniques in most of their operations entirely. Pepsi Company appears to be the
one that fully utilises this mode of operations since it is the only technique that gives them a
perfect opportunity to track the movement of most of the products belonging to the company.
Moreover, IBM Company follows second with a total of 90% of its employees fully supporting

warehouse management. Probably, this might be the reason as to why the entire organisation has
gained much popularity over a wide area as a result of its capability to satisfy the needs of all the
customers. 85% of the employees of Nike Company were able to support this form of
management (Wu and Yun. 129). At some point, many of them could state that this technique
has enabled them to minimise the occurrence of various forms of errors thus giving them one of
the adequate opportunities to fully compete with several other organisations within the business
platform. According to the information collected by the research data, it is clear beyond any
reasonable doubt that warehouse management forms one of the major pillars of an organisation
and it has got the capability of determining the rate at which an organisation is capable of scaling
up in the coming future. Implementing it, therefore, requires a lot of ethical considerations that
are geared towards providing appropriate and reliable guidance of what should be done.
Presentation of recommendation
To attain most of the desired goals as far as global supply chain management issues are
concerned, adequate strategies should be implemented to manage the entire operations taking
place within the warehouse of a given organisation. Various teams of experts together with the
top management officials of a given organisation should be able to come on board to offer
adequate support most so during times of difficulties or in the areas that have even identified to
have loopholes. Since most of them have developed appropriate management skills, they should
be ready to provide some of the best decisions attached to warehouse management to keep track
of various processes and ensure that their respective organisations can meet the needs of multiple
consumers, irrespective of where they live. These top management officials should also ensure
that appropriate rules and regulations are followed to the latter thus bringing some conditions of
formality in most of the operations within the supply department.
