Personal Statement
It is quite easy to get comfortable even though there is something good about comfort; it is the
challenges that enable us human being to learn about ourselves as well as grow. After graduating
from high school, I needed a challenge that could shape my careers quest. I have to admit that I
did not know the career or professional to take; hence, I the reason for the study gap. I decided to
take a year gap before joining college, but I never knew that it could take more than just a year.
After high school, I believed that humanity learns best through trials and error. The knowledge
gained in high school had shaped me to understand things in a confined way; hence, I believed
that a gap year could make me see a thing from a different perspective. Therefore progressing
to the college immediately after graduation could help me do a thing as usual, but I could not
have attained the capabilities as with the study gap. It is the study gap that I took that made me
choose business management as a career.
Immediately after graduating from high school, I joined the Coastal Security under the Boundary
Security Department. I gained the experience significantly for close to a year before being sent to
the Military Academy. The Boundary Security Department noted that I could have a better
chance of succeeding in life if I joined the Military Academy. I was on a trial and error period;
hence, I went to try it. I was surprised by how good I was at the Military Academy, and I
managed to graduate from the academy. After graduation, I came back and regained my job as a
Coastal Security officer. I was too good at my job to the extent that the company decided to take
me to attend courses to gain experience. In a few years, I attained more than 25 courses. This
gave me the experience and skills necessary to succeed. However, I decided to change careers
since I am a boat captain now. Everything is going on perfectly, and I am doing my job well.
Also, I have a license for airplane ne, and I hope that I can be given a chance to fly a helicopter.
I do understand that all work without play made Jack a dull boy. Therefore, besides my civil
life, I also prefer taking part in many sports, from football to skydiving. However, I love
skydiving to the extent of incorporating it with my business life. I have created a center for
Skydivers that is fully equipped with aircraft and many trainers. Currently, I am the founder and
owner of SkydiveQatar. I also take part in other business such as houses and car trading. I
believe that with all this experience, studying business management will help me gain a study
experience that will be beneficial in my business life as a founder and owner of Skydive Qatar.
I choose this university to help me pursue my cause because of its reputation for offering high-
quality education. I do believe that life in the University would be challenging, but I am used to
such challenges, and the reward would most probably be worth it. The chance to join your
university would help develop my career in management.
