Introduction
The purpose of the study is to analyze the findings that have emerged from a survey
conducted among students on academic integrity. The survey tests whether or not the students
are aware of the academic integrity standards. The survey that is being considered was carried
out by asking 59 students specific questions concerning their views on academic integrity. Their
awareness and knowledge of available resources were tested.

The survey pointed Moreover, attendance figures are connected equally to the quality of
the course being provided and the student oriented factors. 54% of the students said that they had
good understanding of the concept of academic integrity. Only around 2% students said that they
do not have very good understanding of academic integrity. Moreover, concerning the Conestoga
College, 44% were very confident and 42% were very confident about locating information
about academic integrity. Around 56% of the students said that they were very aware of the fact
that making others write assignments for them is a serious violation. 86% were very aware that
copying form others was a serious offence. 73% of the students were aware of the fact that
working with their peers in individual assignments is against academic integrity. 80% of the
students responded to be very aware of using previous year’s assignment being violation of
academic integrity. Most students were found to be well aware of the various factors that guided
academic integrity. Most students agreed that the penalty for violations of academic integrity
should either be 0 grade in assignment or be failed or be suspended. Academic integrity

assessments or assignments. Students should be kept more engaged in the classes, thereby
improving their approach towards academic integrity. The faculty members should focus more in
free interactions with students and free discussions about academic integrity.
