The report brings about the discussion on the topic of assignment ‘sustainability among
corporations’ and the related aspects. Corporate sustainability refers to a long-term approach
which creates stakeholder value for the longer aspects in the market. Businesses operating in
the environment focus upon creation of stakeholder value through implementation of a
strategy which considers different (social, economic, cultural, environmental, and ethical)
dimensions. Thus, the report is based upon the strategic analysis of corporate sustainability of
‘Wesfarmers’ and the related aspects of the business. In the later part, it also discusses the

Wesfarmers limited is an Australian conglomerate located in Perth, Australia with
predominant interests in Australian and New Zealand diverse business operations. The
diverse business operations dealt by the company include supermarkets, liquor, hotels, and
the convenience stores; office supplies, departmental stores. In addition, the company has
expanded their operations in industrial divisions with businesses in chemicals, fertilisers,
energy products, safety products, and coal. Wesfarmers has been recognised as a largest
employer in the private sector, with a shareholder base of 530,000 in the market. The
company creates long-term value for their customers by engaging with the communities, and
serving them through reducing environmental impact on their lives (Rowe et al., 2014).
