Introduction
Business ethics is an integral component of organizations as the idea regarding business ethics
enables organizations to take and implement decisions which helps in promoting positive
consequences for the stakeholders of the organization. The ethical decision making capability of
an organization is determined by the values of the organization and also by social and pressure
on the organization. There are various types of ethical dilemma which are being experienced by
organizations and industry and therefore organizations need to adopt strategies in order to
address those ethical dilemmas.
Reflection
ULO1 There are various regulations, laws and business ethics which must be followed by
business organizations in order to carry out their day to day organizational activities. The
regulations, laws and business ethics provides guidelines to the organization regarding how to
organize their business operations which will help in achieving positive outcomes for all
individuals who have a stake in the activities of the organization. According to Mehmet et al.
(2016) the laws and regulations are legal in nature which must be followed by business
organizations which supports fair business and trading while the business ethics are moral in
nature which ensures that no individual or entity is negatively affected by the activities and
operations of the organization. Examples of business laws and regulations involve complying
with fair trading laws and practices, ensuring fair competition in the market. Whereas examples
of business ethics include ensuring being accountable for all the operations of organizations,
ensuring well-being and development of all the stakeholders of the organization and promoting
honesty and integrity in the decision making process of an organization.
ULO2 There are various organizational values which support ethical decision making in an
organization. As opined by Vazquez (2018) the first and foremost organizational value which
support ethical decision making is fairness, as it helps in promoting fairness regarding each and
every decision which a company takes and in turn support ethical decision making. Another
organizational value which support ethical decision making is care for the people, as the
decisions of the organizations are taken by keeping in mind the well-being of the people and
