INTRODUCTION
This report focuses on the learning and development process of the topic sustainability in the
construction industry. It provides a selective account of the things which were learned through
the module and how the learning is important. Topics suggest the ways in which learning will
support future development and studies along with area of continuous improvement in context of
career development are provided in this reflective account. Finally a reflection upon completion
of presentation on the topic of sustainability in the construction industry is included which
centers around the feelings about presentation and formation to the peers along with
development of a personal development plan which will support continuous development to
attain better grades in future academic studies.
MAIN BODY
I was tasked with developing a presentation on the topic of sustainability in the construction
industry which included various topics such as the ways in which sustainability has been utilized
in the construction industry. In addition to this the presentation also covered the area of
understanding the importance and impact resistant ability in the construction industry. The
concept of ways in which sustainability has affected the built environment with examples is
provided in the presentation. The idea of future implications and future advancement in context
of sustainability in the construction industry is also included in the presentation

an attractive presentation with the feature on various topics and attain better grades.
I also learned about the concept of sustainability in the construction industry which is relevant to
the module and will help me better understand other sustainability concepts such as built

environment. I was able to develop my research skills as I researched on the topic through
various books and journals along with online articles on recent buildings which have attained
high sustainability through the usage of clever design and technology. In addition to this I also
learned about the latest technology which is being used in the construction industry in order to
support sustainability and will also support continuous development of sustainability in the
construction industry in the future. this is an important part of the presentation as it will help me
understand the current developments and future landscape of the construction industry as I am
now able to understand the impact sustainability is having in shaping the construction industry
on a global scale.
I also learned about the concept of built environment which is critical to improving knowledge
about the construction industry and will not only support my academic development but will also
help me perform effectively in my future profession in the construction industry. I have learned
about the ways in which continuous improvement of sustainability in the context of construction
industry have impacted the built environment which includes both the positive and negative
impacts. This will improve my professional knowledge as well as current usage of various
construction terms so that I am able to deliver high quality academic projects an attain better
grades.
In addition to this I learned about the new technologies being used in the sustainability industry
including artificial intelligence and smart technologies which will help me effectively integrate
these new concepts in my assignment so that I am able to impress the faculty and attain better
academic performance in the future. In this way my future studies and models will be improved
and I will be able to finish my higher education with better grades which will support my
employability level and ability to gain quick employment in reputed businesses off the industries.
This is a positive achievement for me as I will be able to utilize knowledge gained through this
presentation to support my lifelong career development.
One of the most important areas of building the presentation which helped be improvement
knowledge and also confidence was the usage of PowerPoint presentation software. This is
because I was able to develop a clear and coherent presentation which involves easy
understanding slides and visual cues which make the presentation more attractive. There is still
need for improvement in context of academic writing and the way in which the presentation is
designed as it does not look striking in comparison to some other presentation of my fellow

classmates. This needs to be improved if I aim to achieve the highest grade in class in future
modules and studies.
The primary area of the presentation which negatively affected my experience was time
management. This is because I was not able to manage my time in context of creating a suitable
presentation which not only included good writing but also looked at attractive and easy to
