INTRODUCTION
Sustainability initiatives are taken by company in order to meet needs of today without
sacrificing tomorrow’s requirements. The present report will analyse two case studies and
identify the opportunities that are available in using technology that will help company to
have sustainability in it. Further, study will discuss the Circular business model of Sahara
Petrochemical established in Saudi Arabia.
PART ONE
Replay
Both the case study that is relating to Replenish and Algramo focuses on protection
of the environment. This is particularly because of the reason that both the companies
undertake the use of plastics and this is harmful for the environment. Hence in order to take
care of the environment both the companies are undertaking various innovation and creativity
in order to protect the environment (Yusoff and et.al., 2021). In case of replenish they
produces fully customisable plastic packaging which can be replaced single product used
with bottles which can be refilled and can be used for multiple liquid. The company
undertakes the use of spray bottles which are being attached to a pod containing the liquid
concentrate to which ranges from cleaning to personal care. This simply means that a single
bottle can be used for the different purposes. This is a good product for the company as the
refill system reduces the energy and also the plastic waste is less.
On the other hand another company Algramo which is based in Chile rewards the
consumers who uses their packaging and also provides them with credit for the future
purchases (Busch, Klee and Hoffmann, 2017). This attract majority of the consumers and
they try to buy the product and services of Algramo. The company has three different ways
for the consumers to buy their refills which involve home delivery to consumer by help of
electric tricycles dispensers in supermarket shelves and on-the-go dispensers at someone
meaning locations. All these three methods assist the people in taking the product and service
easily and effectively.
