Along with this, it explains the role and significance of human resource managementand leadership to gain long-term revenue and profit within the organization. It explains the futuremanagerial strategies and policies of the company to accomplish the goals and objectives of thefirm. It also explains that how the company is controlling and managing value chain process toattract more consumers in the global market. CSL limited company is one of the biggest leaders in the biotechnology industry. Itprovides one of the biggest largest collection networks across the world. The company isestablished in 1916 with headquarters situated in Melbourne, Victoria. Australia. It deals inblood plasma, vaccines, medical products, drugs, antivenom and laboratory products in themarket. The firm conducts its business activities and operations in all over 60 countries withemployed more than approx 17,000 employees (Luning et al, 2011). The company focuses on theresearch and development and operational management to develop, deliver, and identifyinnovative products of the company. Further, the organizational structure of the company isunique and effective. The company measures and identifies various external factors to beat thecompetitors in the market. The external factors include economic, legal, socio-cultural, politicaland environmental factors. External factors play an important role to determine the success andgrowth of the company. The company is using latest and innovative technologies to save andprotect the life of the people. Through innovative technologies, the company is able to expand itsbusiness in global market. Further, the company is maximizing the revenue and profit of thecompany. Various rewards have been given to CSL limited to make a strong and uniquegoodwill in the market (Witcomb, 2015). Now it is assumed that planning is essential in CSL limited company to determinevarious other activities (Syed Muhammad, 2012). Mission, vision and values and their connection with sustainability The company is very passionate about the patient health and safety. The mission of thecompany is to provide good quality of products to the patient for preventing various healthdiseases and illness. Further, the main vision of the company is to make a good image in thebiotechnology industry in near future with serving and providing various types of biotechnologyproducts such as medicines, drugs, and vaccines. The values of the company comprise such aspatient focus, innovation, integrity, loyalty, superior performance, teamwork, and collaboration.The firm maintains sustainability while offering products in the market. Through sustainability,the firm is able to maintain good and safe working environment within the organization. Now itis assumed that there is a great connection in mission, vision, values, and sustainability(Petcharat and Mula, 2010). Goals setting practices and types of plans The company includes employees in goal setting process. The firm set the long-termgoals and objectives of the firm. The employees and management work together to set the goalsof the firm for providing biotechnology products to customers in the market. There are four typesof plans which are used by the biotechnology company such as strategic, tactical, contingencyand operational plans. Through these plans, the firm is able to determine the long-term objectivesand goals in the global market( Hamidi, Gustafason, Pellegrini and Gasson, 2011). Approaches to planning and Sustainability Further, the company uses approaches in the planning process. The approaches includereactive approach, Inactive approach, proactive approach, and inactive approach. In this way, theorganization can meet its long-term targets and goals by conducting planning.
