SUSTAINABILITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Part A
There are five significant aspects that are needed to be considered for
implementation of a workplace sustainability policy. Hence, it is required to
develop as well as communicate various processes for implementing the policy
after consideration of these five aspects, which are minimization of resource
utilization, resource efficiency, reduction of the toxic materials and hazardous
chemical uses, employment of life cycle management approaches and finally
continuous improvement1.
i) Minimising Resource Use: The first process is to conserve energy in
all forms and also ensuring that every employee is not wasting excess utilities in
the restaurant chain of Aussie traditional food chain. A campaign should be
started for this purpose.
ii) Resource Efficiency: The efficiency of resources could be eventually
maintained after improving the organizational storage and also ensuring waste
management is reduced under every aspect.
iii) Reducing Toxic Material and Hazardous Chemical Use: Reduction
in the utilization of plastic materials in the restaurant chain of Aussie traditional
food. It would even minimize risks and maximize safety and security.
iv) Employing Life Cycle Management Approaches: The life cycle
management approach can be implemented by minimization of social and
environmental issues to provide continuous improvement in the standards2. The

integration of life cycle management would hence favour a cyclical plan do check
act approach.
v) Continuous Improvement: This type of constant improvement could
be achieved by identification of an opportunity as well as planning for change.
Next the change would be implemented for a smaller scale and appropriate data
should be utilized for analysing the change results for determining to make a
difference3. Finally, when the change becomes successful, implementation
should be done a wide scale and results would be assessed.
