Introduction
The plastic collective is attaining global attention from massive
organizations and policymakers that transform waste into earnings. It is
becoming an epidemic worldwide with around 350 million people on over
3500 islands in the region of Asia Pacific requiring proper management of
waste. This associates to 13 million tonnes of the plastic which is
responsible for polluting oceans, seas and the entire environment. The
plastic collective solution is based upon 3 fundamental pillars, which are
stated as innovate new designs and material, encourage individuals with
awareness, and make reliable and practical machinery & tools like the
Shruder machine. It is estimated that the ocean floors incorporate an
average of 65kg of plastic in each square kilometer. They should protect
and motivate more industries that turn waste into income and tighten
their belts on lowering operation, recycling, and increasing efficiency,
which provides benefits towards success and growth. They need to
convert the plastic waste economy and bring the circular economy in
order to contribute towards social and sustainable responsibility (Reese
and Junge, 2017). In the following, a huge step has been taken to
elaborate in terms of the plastic collective, sustainability related
approaches & issues, sustainability practices and provide

Background
The Plastic collective established in the year 2016 in Australia. It was
founded by Louise Hardman that is pro-environmental organization with
the objective of reducing the plastic waste leaked to the ocean and seas.
Louis discovered the idea when acknowledged the death of a small turtle
because of consuming plastics which resulted in nurturing high drives that
generate the importance of those plastics (So, Cheng, Chow and Zhan,
2016). It is stated that it is an alarming signal due to the reason that
around 14 million tonnes of plastic are leaking and contaminating the
ocean and seas. Despite that, around 380 million individual residing on
4100 islands in the region of Asia Pacific fail to hold a dependable
procedure of waste management. Therefore, Louise introduced a machine
specifically Shruder that is programmed to transform plastic waste into
usable and valuable products. In addition, Louise had believe that
workshop of decreasing single-use plastics will employ a huge influence
on marine waste eradication. The Plastic Collective has initiated majorly
three drivers or programs involving the partnership, the Shruder, and the
plastic neutral program. It is stated that by June 2017, Louise has won the
reward of sustainability and his business gained the 7th rank in the list of
Australian 100 top start-ups. It is believed that it is one of the biggest
compositions directing to treat waste as an impending resource. Still,
there is some weakness in respect to management system such as
indefinite planning and controlling (Kumar, Sarmah and Ananthakrishna,
2015).
