INTRODUCTION
Tourism management is very important task to the manager of a tourist destination.
Currently upper management of most tourist destination mostly contacts to the DMO (destination
management organisation). Basically, a DMO always help to the management of a tourist
destination for more developing its attractiveness. This report discusses the sustainable and
responsible tourism management in the context of Indonesia. There are Indonesia is generally a
popular tourist destination which attracts thousands of tourists per year. This place is very
relaxing according to many tourists. Currently Indonesia’s tourism authority is aiming to develop
Indonesiaas an attractive, environmentally friendly, green, and neat & clean destination for
attracting lots of new visitors and tourists. So that, Indonesia’s tourism authority has contacted to
the AC travel group for the sustainable development of this destination. KP travel group is
basically popular UK based destination management organization that mainly works for
developing different strategies and techniques to a destination highly effective and attractive.

Tourism sector has been evolved immensely over the period of time. The sector has been
expanded immensely over the period of time. As per the different statistic on the growth of
business environment it is projected that tourism and travel sector is among the fastest growing
market sector across the globe. The demands have been significantly increased after the
evolution of digital technology (Camilleri, 2018). All the technological advancement has
emerged the concepts like sustainable and responsible tourism in the market sector. Since the
year 1980 the concept of sustainable tourism has been evolved. Sustainable tourism is denoted as
all such travellers all across the globe that carries an exclusive interest in travel all around the
world. These travellers make trips in every few months to explore either the new place or the old
destination they have already explored earlier. Sustainable tourist is the basic requirements
attached with the travel and tourism market sector. Different hotels and other travel and tourism
product segment immensely depend upon the suitablecustomers in order to meet up all objectives
of the business. Sustainable travellers provide effective sales turnoverthat can also improve the
growth of company in market. Sustainability is the basic need of any market sector in order to
gain effective success in a particular area of business. This provides assurance to companies and
other business organisation associated with travel and tourism sector about considering a specific

sales turnover and profitability. These customerbases play a critical role in enhancing the
potential of companies and also related to improving the brand value of such organizations and
its relevant market share. After the year 1980 society becomes more active towards sustainable
development as it provides more growth opportunities at the sustainable level.
Responsible tourism is another modern age term part of the travel and tourism sector.
Responsible tourism the term itself denote that all such customers and travellers who feels
responsible to protect and conserve the destination they explore for future are call as responsible
tourism (Sirgy and Uysal, 2016). This is the social responsibility of all the people part of the
society to put efforts in conserving various travel destinations all across the globe. Responsible
tourism is directly attached with the social responsibilities of human being in order to protect the
authentic destination across the globe so that future generation can explore and collect best
memories possible in life.
Termssustainable and responsible customers are among the modern terms involve in
travel and tourism sector. Both the terms denoted the modern needs of the market. It is the
responsibility that all tourists must ensure they will not behave any misconduct in order to
explore any specific travel destination. Sustainability allows companies involved in the travel
and tourism sector and other organisations part of the sector to achieve the growth and
profitability standards they have set for the business. Both the terms are the basic needs
associated with the sector and also denoted that organisation can entertain effective growth in
market. It is important for the future generations to protect the entire authentic travel destination
all across the globe. Both the terms also denoted in different marketing campaigns companies
and countries project in the marketing campaigns they launch.

because there is a tremendous growth of tourism and the resources are limited in environment
and they have to be protected so that the next generation can also use them affectively. WTO has
a major role in the tourism to develop and growth in the countries but there are a lot of strategies
which were used by them so that they could encourage people for trips so that the individuals can
have fun and enjoy themselves with a safe environment.
World tourism organization, for having a sustainable tourism there are activities which
include both present and future preservation of environment, social and economic standards of
