In this report it has been described about sustainable and responsible tourism management refer
to the process of which focus on the competitive advantage and positioning of the tourist places
to sustainable evolution and practices. The tourism destination taken in this is Scotland. The
concept of sustainable tourism is it has evolved with change in social trends. Besides that, it is
explained about role of global organizations in promoting of sustainable tourism such as ABTA.
It represents the view of the travel industry to government and other bodies. It helps in the
protection of the interest of the member, the travel agents and the tour operators. Moreover,
principles of principle of Tourism Planning and development like using resources sustainably,
reducing over-consumption and waste, maintaining biodiversity, supporting local economies, etc.
has been mentioned in report. There are certain challenges in this that is globalization,
infrastructure, security, etc. is discussed. Along with that, principle of sustainability and
responsible tourism management has been explained in it. The impact of Activity Scotland on
